The news of our favourite show, Barrister Babu going off-air has been taking rounds in various social media platforms for a while now. Each time any such news came up, I always prayed that it should be a fake one. But this time, the cast itself -to name some- Arina Dey( Sumati Maa), Pravisht Mishra( Anirudh) and Bhavya Sachdeva (Chandrachur) has given hints confirming the same.
The news is really heart breaking.
It is 2021 now. But, if I ask that has ITV improved… The answer will be no. When other countries are bringing something new everytime, ITV is still stuck with the age-old saas-bahu fight, bechari actress, cheater-to- good hero, other women, evil relatives and unnecessary drama.. The only change that I see now is, while earlier the hero used to have affairs with other woman who is not related to him, now they display and romanticise the relationship between bhabhi-devar, jeeja-saali.. Husband cheating on his wife, wife’s sister trying to snatch the heroine’s husband, oldies mentally torturing young heroine, evil relatives plotting against each other..
The above said has become the main plot of 80% of the shows now. The rest 20% starts with good message, but the plot get messed up when they fail to get viewers. The sad thing in this is, people still are interested in the age-old drama. They are not able to come out from that thinking.
BARRISTER BABU, our show, was the one which dared to challenge the stereotypical views. Some contents that they showed were such that no shows had dared to come up with.
Anirudh teaching Bondita the difference between good touch and bad touch, helping her heal her bed-wetting problem, the menstruation track.. No other show had ever showed it.
When every show displayed the newly introduced female character as a negative one, Manorama, in spite of being married to Anirudh, never hurted Bondita.
THE TRACKS THE SHOW HAD TILL DATE:
The first few episodes displayed the background the story is set-up.
Anirudh opening to Bondita, the door to education.
The Hiramandi track showed the troubles that women, whose husband left her had to face.
The Betty track was also educational.
The Subhra track showed us how matured Bondita has become.
The menstruation track was really an awareness track- which showed that there is nothing to be scared of it.
When the old man tried to misbehave with Bondita, they taught us to rise the voice against injustice instead of remaining quite.
The Manorama track showed us the sacrifice made by our great freedom fighters.
Then they abolished the child marriage.
The Takumaa track showed us the blind belief that existed then and what was the result.
The Sanyasini track showed the sufferings of the Sanyasis.
The enimity track proved that enimity can never bring peace, only love can.
Chandrachur’s abusive husband role showed that not every husbands are as good as Anirudh many women are still victims of domestic violence.
Anirudh’s trial track was to show how good a Barrister she has become.
And now, a new track is introduced.
The show really deserves a long way to go.. but alas.. no body wants good shows.
When I say it is a good show, I never said it is a “perfect show” Even this had flaws, like everything else in this world. The Takumaa track was lengthy, they made Sampoorna evil unnecessarily, they didn’t show much about Bondita’s school.
But still, IMDb has not given it a rating of 8.2/ 10 for nothing..

The one good show is bidding bye.. Barrister Babu fandom, we have done what we could.. now…

Really each and every track given us a important messages but even in nowaday also people like to watch ex marital affairs saas bahi and other non sense things stupidityyyy🥴🥴🥴🥴 even I feel some shame on people who are very interested to this baseless stupidity and vayaaat serials oh god plss I don’t want to loss my bb show plss do somw miraclee🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 plssss and viewers plss realise the value of bb before toooo late and thing get out our hands and plss support it🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
We were united by bb.. now, it is leaving us. I cannot believe it. Like, Anirudh, Bondita, Bihari, they have become part of my life.
Dear friends, this place has been a chat section for many of us. People were even wishing each other birthday. Now.. when the show will go off-air… I don’t know how to handle it.
Thank you for writing this post. This decision on the part of colors channel has hurt a lot of the followers of this show. Such a valid storyline that’s based in the past and still ongoing in our society. Women are second class citizens even today. We have to be 100% better than the men for those jobs we want and still don’t get credit. In so many situations women are put down. While this show demonstrates how far we have come, there are still ressemblances that show what a struggle it is and will always be for women. Counting TRP only on TV is senseless, idiotic even in this age of technology, colors wants trp, calculate the views online. I can’t believe the show they’re replacing this with. Another hate-love-obsession show. Where is the originality in that? Colors doesn’t care about pure relationships. It only promotes shows that makes a mockery of it. Unhealthy, obsessive, relationships. Tortures done on women by women in sado-masochistic relationships. And extra-marital relationships. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. Look at the shows these days. The only good show is being shut down. What a shame.

Yes you all are very true people doesn’t want reality they just want drama. Losing such a show where we are getting social issues taking a platform is heart breaking. As it is reality that no good goes long rather drama company serials,films gets fame and money 💸 is happening with another such great show .
Molkki’s trp is very low than bb then why is bb going off-air? Why can’t they shut down molkki?😠😠😠

We should trend it or make trp more plz guys kuch toh kro ,earlier show always got 2+ trp what happen now where are those people who make high trp why they are not watching on TV I know what is the reason behind this that is our bondita I know choti nondita me also love her what we have to accept Anchal she is doing great job why people are stuck to their thoughts please god save this show I was amused when I first show the promo of barrister Babu I completely made up my mind that I am going to see this issue show because the promo was too enticing and tempting that I could not say no to it I just want that’s this show would remain at least 2 years
I’M SORRY TO SAY THIS…BUT BARRISTER BABU FANS THEMSELVES HAVE MADE THIS SHOW LOSE IT’S UNIQUENESS WHEN THE LEAP WAS ANNOUNCED… MAJORITY OF FANS WANTED THE MAKERS TO SHOW ROMANCE BETWEEN ANI AND BONDITA. WHY!!!? ROMANCE COULD BE SEEN IN ANY OTHER SHOWS AS WELL. ALTHOUGH THE FANDOM IS SO MATURE, SOME COULDN’T FIND THE PLATONIC AND ‘BINA NAAM KA RISHTA’ BEARABLE, TO AN EXTENT THAT SOME THOUGHT TO STOP WATCHING THE SHOW IF ROMANCE WASN’T SHOWN. IMAGINE HOW BEAUTIFUL IT WOULD’VE BEEN IF THE MAKERS HAD STICKED INTO SHOWING AN ‘KRISHN-ARJUN’ BONDING BETWEEN THE TWO. THAT WOULD’VE MADE THE SERIAL STAND OUT MORE. ALTHOUGH, THE TRP WOULD’VE BEEN LESS AND THE SHOW WAS GONNA END HALFWAY, WE WOULD HAVE SEEN A BETTER ENDING. Its more disappointing that its going to be replaced by a close call with Molkki which is repeating its storyline to but barrister babu which has a lot of potential & so much to show is getting closed where the storyline is strong.Molkki being a story of a girl being sold but not fighting back for her life is accepted while barrister babu which shows the potential & transformation of a child bride to a famous barrister is not getting sufficient applaud for its beautiful storyline.Currently every show is promoting either extra marital affairs or the typical dramas lengthening for yrs are getting trps.Barrister babu is the only show which I find worth watching is getting closed so I don’t think even a single show today that worth watching.

Yes it it is realistic as per the era. Age difference of 11 years was common between partners. And he was married to her. He didn’t have feelings for his brother’s wife or his sister in law. The same fans were displeased with Manorama track even when Bondita was young as she should be his only wife. And after all the years of him shouting responsibility when he looked at Bondita, fans should feel happy that he acknowledged their deep bond. My humble opinion

Hi everyone I am new overhere.At first I was a silent reader but after reading your this post I decided to right my first comment on this BB channel
First of all I want to say that your post was as heartbreaking as BB going off air news was for me infact for everyone
BB is a unique show guys a masterpiece which deserves to get highest trps offline as well as online(I am unable to understand that how a show which has a large fanbase can get 1.1 trp)
Secondly mainay pehlay bhi Kaha hai kah colors channel is supporting and favouring each and every show except BB aur BB ki trps tub tuk nahi bharnay wali(which is obvious) after colors channel saath nahi dai ga. Jub say BB start huwa colors channel baki shows ko promote kerta hai aur BB ki cast say kerwata hai but kabhi bhi BB ko promote na khud kerta hai na kerwata hai kisi say,uss Kay baad BB Kay episodes main scenes aur songs ko cut ker daita hai yan mute ker daita hai,time slot 8:30 rakha huwa hai,loog Saturday ko bhi BB daikhna chahtay hain but time Mon to Fri rakha hai (so how can they expect good trps from BB as the mistake is done from their side only)
Guys Indian audience are the only one who can increase the trps(which channel want more than the good show) because as I am from Pakistan tou colors channel yahan nahi ata hai aur na voot select aur jio tv ata hai iss liay mujhay doosray channel per daikhna parta hai(but I don’t know about the other countries)
And forget about the one who are not watching BB for Aura only(I mean seriously) I also still love Aura alot yaar but Aanchal is doing perfect job as well as Bondita(we won’t forget Aura as choti Bondita but for Aura we should not discourage Aanchal) The true fans of BB(not only Aura,Pravisht,Aanchal fans) will watch BB on t.v 8:30 to 9:00 from Mon to Fri(till the time slot won’t change)
I am saying this from day one day one kah agar aap ko show nahi daikhna(kio aur kaam hai tou it’s ok)but aap t.v chala ker colors channel per laga ker apna kaam wagara ker lo without changing the channel
frankly I am thinking kah jub hum sub BB Kay favour main hain tou baki shows ki trp kaisay incraese ho sakti hai jis main na kio logic hai na kio achi baat seekhnay ko(i won’t name the shows) I think loog trp increase kernay kay liay daikhna ho chahay na daikhna ho t.v on ker daitay hain without changing the channel
lastly like everything BB say bhi kuch ghalatiyan hoi hain but makers are doing their level best to correct their mistakes so we should support our show atleast for 1 year because show agar aik saal say zayada chala tou logic khutum ho gay ga(I can’t even imagine a day without BB)
BUT we should hope for the best and at the same time prepare for the worst

It is heart breaking to know that BB is going off air. Only show which showed all sorts of awareness, as u named them rightly. The rishta of Anirudh and Bondita was unique. Every viewers of this show would have
definitely dreamt to have such a relation with a person. I will really miss this show. This is close to my heart. Only show that is worth spending our precious time. No words to express my grief as u said.
