the epi starts with yuddhjeet gone mad ?. He shows Dashrath the horses send by ashwapati. Dashrath likes them. He reminds Dashrath that he’d promised to make Kaikeyi son aka Bharat as his heir. Dashrath gets furious ? and says that raghuvanshi never forget their promise. Kaikeyi failed to give me first son. It was Kaushalya who did so. Dashrath leaves.
Kaikeyi comes to Dasharath’s Kaksh. She asks why did you not tell me about that promise, to make Bharat your heir. He says it means Yudhjeet provokes you, I understood his intention was to tell this instead of getting horses. She asks did Yudhjeet say right. He says I will answer you later, I have to talk to Yudhjeet first. He leaves.
Yudhjeet says I feel lucky seeing you both welcome me. Kaushalya says we get glad, we don’t have brothers, our sons call you Mama as well. Sumitra asks him to start eating food. Dasharath comes there and says I want to talk to him. Kaushalya says let him have food. Dasharath requests everyone to go out. Kaushalya and Sumitra leave with the Daasi.
Dasharath asks Yudhjeet why did you tell Kaikeyi. Yuhdjeet says its related to my sister and nephew. Dasharath says Bharat is my son first, relations will change if this promise matter goes on, tell your dad Rashtrpati that only deserving son will become my heir, and that’s Ram, the promise did not get fulfilled as the conditions did not meet, I won’t bear any interference. Yuhdjeet greets him and leaves. He sees Kaikeyi outside. Kaikeyi cries and tries to talk to him. Yudhjeet angrily leaves.
Kaikeyi goes to Dasharath. The sons ask Dasharath about Yudhjeet. Dasharath asks them to sit and dine together with him. Kaikeyi goes to her Kaksh and recalls Yudhjeet’s words. Dasharath comes to her and asks why is darkness here. Kaikeyi says some truth should be known in dark. He says he is not afraid of light. She asks how can he say this when he has… He asks what. She says you have hurt my trust. He says don’t talk in your dad and brother’s language. She says but its truth, you promised my dad that my son will become your heir, you have hidden this from me till now, and you are not keeping it. He says you are blaming a Raghuvanshi and my Kul for not keeping promises, we keep promises by giving life. She says you broke this tradition, you don’t have courage to accept truth, that you gave this promise.
Dasharath says yes, I gave promise to her dad, I told him if I get a son from you, he will become the heir, did you give me the son, did you fulfill the condition, you could not give me even a daughter, if I did not sacrifice Shanti, you would have not become a mother. After the Rishi did yagya, my four sons were born and I got freed of that promise, don’t forget my first son is born by Kaushalya, my Ram, it was all by my sacrifice, what did you contribute in this, how can you raise question then… She cries and asks did I not give you a child, its possible it was my fault, but you had two more wives and did not get son from them, think whether it was your fault. He asks her to be in limits. She says both should be in limits.
She says I did not imagine you would hurt me to prove your words right, Kaushalya and Sumitra would have been hurt if they heard you, did you think just woman is responsible for the child, did you think this when you married me, I loved you and gave my life to you, I made your happiness the aim of my life, was it for this day when you hurt me, you feel I did not contribute anything. He says you made me helpless to say this, my elder son Ram will become my heir, as Ram is the most deserving and capable. He says sometimes. Its necessary to see by other’s perspective. He leaves. Kaikeyi cries. Sumitra overhears out an cries ?.. Kaikeyi meets Yudhjeet. He asks her to send Bharat with him, he will be taking care of his rights, which Dasharath can’t. She says Ram is also my son and much loved, take Bharat away, as he can’t become like Ram. He looks on. Sita visits Devi Kargi. Kargi asks her why did she come here, she should be in Maharishi Yagyavar’s Gurukul. Sita asks how did you know.
Kargi says everyone knows this, your dad would have got your teaching in Rajmahal, but he is sending you to Gurukul so that his Praja will also come forward to get their daughters learn at gurukul. Sita says girls will be inspired when teachers are also women. She says she wants to become like you. Gargi says I stay alone in jungle.. Sita says but with self respect and satisfaction, I will be glad to get chance to stay in jungle, I thought you will be inspiring many girls by teaching in Maharishi’s gurukul. She requests her. Even Mata pita shri were thinking of same. Mata gargi smiles. Bharat says I won’t go anywhere and talks to his brothers. Laxman teases Bharat. Bharat goes to Kaushalya and tells her that he does not want to get away from all of them, he was away for many years in gurukul, he will be alone in Kaikei. Kaushalya says she will talk to Dasharath and thinks why was he so angry. Bharat runs to Dasharath and tells him that Maa is sending me to Kaikei with Mama ji. Dasharath gets shocked. Bharat asks him to tell Kaikeyi for not sending Bharat.
Dasharath goes to Kaikeyi and says Bharat will not go anywhere. Kaikeyi asks why, don’t my dad have this right. She asks why can’t he give right to her son. He says I can’t believe you are the same Kaikeyi. He leaves. She fumes and cries. Bharat hides and says I will do what my heart says, I won’t go. Ram comes to him. Bharat asks how did you know I m here. Why is Maa punishing me, what did I do. Ram says Maa is sending you and making you away from her too, she is also sad, there will be some imp reason, I don’t know the reason, but Maa has to make heart strong so that child gets independent. He asks him to come, Maa will be worried. Bharat hugs him.
Sumitra asks either of Laxman or Shatrughan to go with Bharat, they stayed together since birth and they should be always together. Laxman says I will go with Bharat. Shatrughan says not you, you can’t stay without Ram, even I can’t, but you will tease Bharat, so I will go with Bharat. They hug and cry. Sumitra cries and asks Laxman to prepare Shatrughan’s journey. Kaushalya comes there and cries. She says no one has such patience and sacrifice, you are younger but greater than all of us. Your sons have your values, their love for their brothers is ideal. She hugs Sumitra.
Bharat and Shatrughan take Dasharath’s and mother’s blessings. Kaikeyi hugs Bharat. Ram hugs Bharat and Shatrughan. Yudhjeet looks on. Bharat and Shatrughan leave with Yudhjeet. Kaikeyi gets upset…..
