‘Zee Comedy Show’ in spite of all the talent popular faces didn’t manage to impress the audience and as a result, it was axed after 30 episodes.
In a recent interview with India Forums, comedian Balraj Syal shared his thoughts about a project’s failure. He said, “An artist puts in his hundred percent and works extremely hard to make any project successful. However, when the project fails to strike a chord with the viewers and gets low ratings, it obviously affects the people involved. Irrespective of the ratings, an artist gives his/her hundred percent to the show and if the desired results don’t show up, then it obviously hurts. Failure of a show is always disheartening. However, there’s nothing much to do about it as everything is in the hands of the viewers. We as actors and comedians, give our all to a project and rest the audience decides the fate of any show”.
Balraj was also seen in reality shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 10’ and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge’ talking about the experience so far he shared, “Well, I entered the industry as I wanted to be an actor. However, since I love to spread smiles and happiness, I realized that I can do comedy and my focus shifted there. However, after shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 10’ and ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karoge’ happened, I was hoping to get other opportunities but then lockdown happened. Well, I’m in talks for a few things, hoping for it to materialize and I would be back on the screens soon”.
