Scene 1:
Location: Jaitsar hospital
nandu is playing with jagiya’s chiar. Dadisa asks jagiya to sit on his chair. He takes his family’s blessings. With everybody, shiv and anandi too give him their best wishes. He sits on the chair, thinking about his previous incident with them. Bhairo tells him that he should now work for the benefit of the society. Everybody encourages him that what happened today, the whole village has been waiting for a long time. jagiay says that there’s something waiting for to be rectified for a long time now. He takes his name plate, referring as Dr. Jagat Singh and says that it should be rectified as Jagdish Bhairo Singh. Lal immediately takes the name plate and dadisa tells him also to inform the other doctors about jagiya’s arrival. shiv asks if she has any other surprise to give to them. Dadisa, in a way of gratitude, thanks him that he made possible what they had been waiting for a long time, and thats jagiya returning to the house. When shiv asks if she has any other secret wish, Dadisa invites shiv along with his faamily, for celebrating anandi’s first sankranti with them. Meenu is at a loss to say anything, as she doesnt know how to refuse dadisa and also how to tell ira about it. Meenu says that it needs to be considered but dadisa forces her to talk to her family now. Meenu avoids the situation saying that, she doesnt need to talk right away. she would go home and talk to them.
Dadisa gets into assigning duties to eveerybody in the house for sankranti’s preparations. Nandu says that he would hold jagiya’s chakri this time and not anandi. Sumitra tries to tell nandu that he would have no problem. When sanchi gets into a verbal fight with nandu over whose brother flies kites best, despite shiv asking her to let it go, since nandu’s just a child, they decide that whoever wins, would make the other person do whatever he wants and who loses would be made a MURGA in front of everyone. The deal is sealed much to everyone’s amusement.
Scene 2:
Location: Ratan Singh’s haveli
Ratan and his family too are preparing for sankranti’s preparations. He gives padma, his second wife, the duty to arrange for food. She tries to ward off the responsibility by asking for a halwaai for food preparation. He snubs her off saying that she should not add on to the expenditure and should rather get ganga to do it. He calls out to her and gives her the responsibility rudely. Padma and her mother in law are happy to see their workload off.
Ganga leaves and goes to her son and her eyes wander off to the kites in the sky. She feels that kites have a better fate than hers, tht even hough in bondage, they get to fly and thinks when would the day come when she too would fly in freedon and soar high in the sky. Then an idea develops in her mind, that sankranti is the best day for her to be free from her bondages, as nobody would notice her absence in the fever of the festival.
Scene 3:
Location: Jaitsar hospital
Lal singh tells basant on the phone, that he could come with gehna tomorrow for the tests. when jagiya hears this, lal singh tells him the entire story. when he realises that basant is feeling shy in talking to him, he decides that he would go and approach them about this and lal too supports it saying that they woul feel more secure if they know that jagiya too is associated with it. Just then, jagiya gets nandu’s call and decides to leave for shopping with him.
Scene 4:
Location: Shiv’s house in jaitsar
Shiv reaches home with his family. The phone rings and meenu goes inside to get it. Shiv goes to park his car.Sanchi and anandi, left alone are discussing about who’s better at kiteflying. While sanchi is vehemently in favour of shiv, anandi, doesnt put shiv down, yet also tells sanchi that jagiya would be a strong competition to shiv. As she walks off, sanchi thinks that tomorrow woudl prove that her brother, shiv is not only ahead of jagiya in kiteflying, but in every other aspect of life.
Underlying message: Today’s generation has an inclination towards thinking that it is always rightt, hence any thinking other than theirs is deemed wrong by the. Such narrow thinking is the reason for their failures in life.
Precap: As expected, ira is upset, that it is their first sankranti too, after the marriage, and that they would feel lonely too if shiv and anandi are absent. Sahe asks meenu if she didnt tell dadisa that they had earlier made a plan with anandi and shiv. Meenu doesnt know what to say. Anandi is a little tensed seeing meenu’s expression, while talking on the phone to ira. Anandi talks to ira saying taht she would talk to dadisa, and get her to give them permission so that they can come to udaipur to celebrate wih them. But ira stops her saying that she shouldnt talk to dadisa since she also must have made preparations by now and decides that she would manage alok and dadaji, there somehow. Anandi later talks to shiv saying that ira might not show it but she too must have felt bad. when shiv says that his mother is very mature and doesnt keep this things in her heart, anandi says that she has an idea through which they would be able to keep both the families happy. shiv has a questioning look on his face while anandi smiles in excitement of her plan.
