The Episode starts with Padma asking Rishabh to tie the thali (mangalsutra) around Bhagyashree’s neck with all three knots. Rishabh tells Bhagyashree to treat it like a formality. As he ties the first knot, Bhagyashree gets emotional, recalling memories of him carrying her and helping her get ready. Tears fill her eyes. Before tying the remaining knots, Rishabh gets a phone call. He hands the thali to Padma and asks her to finish it. Padma ties the other two knots, says it looks perfect, and walks away.
Bhagyashree overhears Rishabh on the call saying “Okay baby” to someone, which annoys her. She tells him to leave. They reach Shekhar and Meenakshi’s Mangalasnanam (Haldi ceremony). Karuna compliments Bhagyashree, saying she looks beautiful wearing the thali. Padma explains that
Karuna suddenly realizes they forgot the veshti for the ritual. Rishabh offers to get it but leaves while saying “I’m coming, baby” on call. Bhagyashree wonders whom he’s calling baby. She follows and sees him driving away with his girlfriend. She feels upset, thinking how hurt her father would be to know Rishabh is ignoring them for another woman.
Meanwhile, Padma and Vinay worry about their other daughter’s arrival. After the Mangalasnanam, everyone prepares for the swing ritual. Padma asks Bhagyashree to call Rishabh back, veshti or not.
Bhagyashree sees Rishabh return with his girlfriend, both drinking wine. She warns him he could get caught for being drunk. She calls Padma and says Shraddha has arrived to see the rituals. Bhagyashree notices Rishabh is drunk and didn’t bring the veshti. She takes him aside to sober up. In the washroom, she puts him under the shower. Rishabh pulls her under the water too and removes her spectacles. They share an intense moment until a knock interrupts them. Bhagyashree steps away, puts on her glasses, and warns Rishabh to behave or she’ll cut his payment. She leaves to change sarees with Meenakshi’s help.
When Bhagyashree returns, Sowmya sees Shraddha wearing the chain gifted to Rishabh. Sowmya questions her, but Bhagyashree intervenes, saying she gave it to Shraddha so she wouldn’t feel underdressed. Sowmya leaves. Bhagyashree tells Shraddha, a.k.a. Nia, not to mind Sowmya’s words. Nia says it’s sad Bhagyashree hired a husband just to manage family, but reminds her that she’s paying Rishabh so they can buy a flat.
Rishabh apologises to Bhagyashree for coming drunk. Nia mocks Sowmya, but Bhagyashree tells her not to speak about her Bhabhi. She reminds Rishabh the chain was gifted by her parents, and they’ll feel bad seeing it on Nia. Rishabh asks Nia to remove it and wears it himself, then asks Bhagyashree to give Nia some jewellery since “my baby’s neck is empty.”
