Awez had to bow out after experiencing a crack in his leg during rehearsals, leading to a grade three tear.
In a recent interview, Awez shared the details of the injury, recalling the moment he felt a snap-like sound and realized something was amiss with his leg. Despite the setback, the thought of opting out didn’t cross his mind immediately. He contemplated performing a wheelchair act or an aerial one until an MRI revealed the severity of the tear, prompting medical advice against dancing for at least two months.
Expressing his disheartenment, Awez mentioned how he faced a similar challenge in the past, dealing with a fracture during his dance video-making days. Reflecting on that experience, he emphasized the belief that everything happens for a reason and expressed his commitment to returning stronger.
Although Awez Darbar had a brief stint on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,’ he emphasized the positive aspects of his journey. As the only wildcard entrant securing a direct entry with original celebrity contestants, he achieved significant milestones. Awez fondly recalled receiving appreciation from Farah Khan, one of the judges, who acknowledged his dance skills and stated that he deserved to be on the show from the start, not as a wildcard.
