Avni woken up at night. Her forehead covered all in sweat. She tried to calm down her beating heart and realised she was in her room.
Neela woke up who was sitting on a chair in Avni room. She looked at avni and knew she had the same dream again.she got up and sat next to her
Neela: bacha here drink some Water.
Avni: mama u here she said wiping her face.
Neela: daya ma told me how she saw u in the garden during the party. She said cupping Avni cheeks who smiled at her a little
Avni: im ok mama. Neela knew her daughter was strong to face everything but also knew that The incident happened years ago always made her weak and that was one of the reason for her to move away from the metha house with Avni and aman
Neela: I’m your mama bacha don’t lie to me. Avni placed her head on Neela lap. Neela knew Avni would be crying from inside but from outside she won’t show it.
Avni: mama?
Neela: hmm?
Avni: can u sleep with me tonight.
Neela: of course bacha that y I am here. Sleep now she said caressing Avni hair who was slowly falling asleep.
Nanno saw this from outside and wiped away few tears. Neela saw nanno going but she wanted to make sure Avni is in a deep sleep before leaving the room
Nanno was caressing Ayesha picture.
Neela: maa. Neela came and sat down next to her.
Nanno: moi Avni hasn’t forgotten that incident Neela. Ayesha death is still a fresh memory in her life.
Neela: she hasn’t maa but I know one day our Avni will pour her heart out. I am not saying she won’t remember Ayesha ji death as that won’t go away but I’m sure one day these nightmares will stop when someone start giving her endless amount of love.
Nanno: do u even think Avni will ever agree to get married because she believes there is no love for her a she doesn’t deserve it. Ashish words stung her so badly that she started believing nobody can love her
Neela: she will ma. My bacha deserve a better life. I won’t let her live a life like me. Nanno squeezed Neela hand and gave her a small smile.
Next morning
At the khanna mansion Neil came back after jogging. And went and joined everyone for breakfast.
Bebe: yesterday’s party was actually good…Mentioning about yesterday party Neil got an image of Avni but shook it of
Shweta: of courses Bebe. Even Tillu enjoyed a lot she said remembering seen him and avni dancing together.
Neil: mom obliviously I will enjoy after all I was with my friends.
Shweta:U means new friend
Prakash: what do u mean shweta ji
Shweta: what I mean is Neil was enjoying dancing’s with his new friend Avni She said giving a big smile
Neil : mom u r just overthinking that was a dancing game. If I was dancing with a guy would u say the same thing he said now smiling seen shweta smile drop
Shweta: Tillu.
Neil: mom what u r thinking is not true so just stop your thoughts over there. Anyway I have to go and meet Ali at the cafe he said finishing of his drink and left
Bebe: shweta y did u have to say that.
Shweta: but it’s true Bebe. I means when I was walking past Avni and Neil they were both looking into each other’s eyes as if they r in love
Prakash: shweta ji u do know that our Neil has only loved one girl and it’s only Juhi so how would he fall in love with someone quickly
Shweta: Prakash ji love doesn’t come with an invitation it just happens.
Bebe: shweta is right but shweta u shouldn’t have just jumped and asked Neil straight away like that. U should have waited to see if anything else happens between them. Sometimes what our eyes see is not true. Prakash nodded while Shweta looked disappointed.
At Neela house Avni slowly opened her eyes.
Avni: oh god I’m late today… she decided to call Ali
Ali: hey Avni what’s up .
Avni : Ali sorry I’m going to be late again today.
Ali : chill yaar y r u taking tension u take your time and come
Avni: don’t worry I will be there soon bye. Avni quickly went to freshen up. so she could reach to the cafe.
Meanwhile at the cafe Neil had come. Ali who was taking a customer’s order saw Neil. He told one of the waiter to take the order and went to Neil
Ali: my cop friend. He said forwarding his hand and both hugged after.
Neil: yaar today I felt like having your poha and my usual coffee
Ali: of course mere bhai I will just order it and come till then u sit. Neil sat down. After few mins Ali came
Ali: raja keep the accounts file on the counter Avni will come and see it. He said to one of the worker who went past.
Neil: so u and avni started this cafe together.
Ali: haan yaar opening a cafe was our dream since childhood. We use to spend our time over here when we were young.
Neil: Ali can I ask u something.
Ali l: of course Neil u r my best friend.
Neil: y does miss ajooba always stay serious.
Ali: miss ajooba?
Neil: I mean Avni. Ali smirked.
Ali: maybe because your meeting with her didn’t go well.
Neil: that is one of the reasons Ali but I don’t know there is some sadness in her. She smiles but it doesn’t reach her eyes she is like a mystery.
Ali: u already started observing her so closely. Neil was surprised he didn’t know what to say.
Neil: it’s nothing like that yaar. It’s just that I have seen her like that few times.
Ali: she had gone through a lot Neil. Avni was so lively but an incident changed her forever she smiles only for everyone sake but inside her heart is paining a lot. Neil felt something weird he didn’t know y he was feeling so bad
Neil: y?
Ali: I would tell u Neil but avni doesn’t like it when I would tell someone about her person life. U r a stranger for Avni Neil so she wouldn’t like it if I told u. But if Avni does become your friend in the future then maybe she might tell u if u ask.
Neil: it’s ok Ali don’t feel bad. I was just a little curious to know. For some reason Neil felt like looking towards the cafe entrance and when he did he saw Avni walking in after few mins busy looking at something on her phone.
Ali who was talking to Neil saw him not paying attention and when he follows Neil gaze he saw Avni and a naughty smile came on his face
Ali: hi Avni he shouted loudly which made Neil come back to reality
Avni looked up and smiled at her friend while gave an annoying look seen Neil. She went up to them
Ali: what happened y were u late again.
Avni: woke up late Ali. By the way what happened r police officers on strike today she said indirectly to Neil. Neil sat back and looked at avni.
Neil: nope police officers r never on strike they r always on time be it on duty or of duty . But some people don’t seem to reach anywhere on time…He said taunting her. Avni glared at him
Ali gave a *keep it gong look*
Avni: at least I do make it to work.. but police officers u call then now and they come after two hours
Neil: not all police officers r the same there are loyal police officers who make it on time he said smirking. Which was annoying Avni she left from there and went to the counter to see the accountant book and got herself engrossed in that
Ali: there is something between u two. Neil stopped smirking and looking at Ali
Neil: there is nothing we just don’t get along that’s about it.
Ali: say whatever u want to but I can see it dost.
Neil: Ali I have aonly given one girl my heart and that’s only Juhi. It’s not easy when your loved one dies right in front of your eyes
Ali: Neil. I understand what u r going through but u have to move on one day
Neil: tell me one thing Ali will u be able to stop loving Riya.
Ali: no. He said straight away Neil smiled slightly.
Neil: then how can i stop loving a girl who I have loved for so many years. Anyways chal I will leave as I promised Bebe that I will spend some time with her.
Ali: ok bye and enjoy your date with your Bebe.
Neil l: bye he got up to leave. He was about to turn around when his gaze caught Avni who was engrossed in sorting out the accounts.
Ali: *ahem ahem* he didn’t miss how Neil was looking at avni with a small smile.
Neil: bye.
Ali went to avni she looked at him
Avni: tell me one thing
Ali: what?
Avni when did he become your best friend and I never saw him coming to the caf before
Ali: avni remember two years ago I went on a camping in Shimla that’s where I met neil and I got to know he is a police officer. We started sharing things he told me stuff about him and I told him about my life those two month made out friendship strong and we became best friends. During that time I got to know he is Shweta aunty son when he showed me her pic but I forgot to tell u every time. but y r u asking? (made it up don’t know if there is any camping that goes on in Shimla)
Avni: I told u na never saw him here before or never heard u talk about him but I guess u will forget as u r always busy with work and mostly romancing with riya.
Ali: avni…not true anyways I will go and get other files he said going inside the cabin
Neil reached home around 12 in the afternoon.
Neil:Bebe! Bebe! He shouted as he didn’t find her in the living room Bebe and shweta were in the garden and came inside.
Bebe: kya hain Tillu y r u shouting.
Neil: I didn’t see u over here so that’s y he said giving a cute smile
Bebe : so u didn’t think of checking the bedroom or garden
Suweta: u forget to say kitchens. Bebe glared at her
Bebe: haan u would only want me to be there so that I can cook for you
Shweta: Bebe I didn’t means that
Bebe: I know what u actually mean.
Neil closed his eyes thinking things can’t change between these two. Shweta was about to say something when Neil interrupted
Neil: my two beautiful ladies. When u both argue u look cute but when u both don’t argue then u look even more cuter so please for my sake stop. He said making a puppy’s face.
Bebe: anything for u my Tillu.
Neil: so shall we go
Bebe: but where ?
Neil: remember I promised I will spend some time with u. So I have planned to take u out
Bebe: My Tillu is so caring unlike some people she said looking at shweta who just smiled at her.
Neil: Bebe u go and get changed till then.
Bebe: ok. Bebe went while shweta made a sad face
Shweta: not fairs Tillu. U take Bebe out but not your mom.
Neil:. Mom I promise I will take u out next time besides Bebe came here after a long time that’s y I’m taking her out. He said putting his hands around her shoulder
Shweta: u know whenever I get to know Bebe is coming I know I have to be prepared for all the taunts that’s going to come to me
Neil: mom Bebe is not bad. Shweta smacked his hand that was on her shoulder
Shweta: Tillu let me finish. So where was I oh yes I have to be prepared when Bebe come but do u know one good thing that happens when Bebe comes?
Neil: kya?
Shweta: my Tillu also comes she said pulling his cheeks lovingly. Neil smiled and kissed her forehead.
Neil: but I do come here Even if Bebe is not here
Shweta : that like only for two days. This time I wish that Bebe doesn’t go from here then u will stays here for longer.
Neil: mom
Shweta: what mom. I didn’t say Anything wrong.
Bebe: Neil beta I’m ready said Bebe who was coming down stairs.
Neil: let’s go then. Neil started to walk out when he stopped hearing Bebe speak
Bebe: oye Madonna chal even u come with us. Otherwise if u get bored at home then u will start moaning saying nobody takes u out.
Shweta: no Bebe it’s ok u go Neil has promised to spend some times with u.
Bebe: if u come with us then it’s not like he will not spend time with me. Now come. So he gets to spend time with u too. Shweta looked at Neil who nodded
Shweta: thank yous Bebe. She said side hugging her
Bebe: let’s go now she said moving away from shweta and started walking out while hiding her smile …shweta linked her arms around Neil and both followed Bebe.
