Avneil reached to the malll and went in.
Avni: let me call rhea and ask where she is right now
Neil nodded
Avni: hey rhea where r u
Rhea: babes I’m at Starbucks with Ali on the first floor but where r u and Neil
Avni: we r at the mall now
Rhea: ok come up we will wait for u over here
Avni: ok ….
both cut the call
Neil: where is she
Avni: in Starbucks with Ali
Neil: let’s go then
Avneil headed up and reached to Ali and rhea
Rhea got up when she saw Avni and hugged her remembering that incident that happened yesterday. Avni hugged her back knowing how concerned rhea must have been
Avni: I’m ok. She said breaking the hug and cupped rhea cheek.. rhea smiled and kissed Avni cheek.
Ali: u both r acting like u r meeting after so many years isn’t it Neil?
Neil: girls r girls after all ali….he said winking at Ali and in return both got a glare from Avni and rhea
They all sat down
Ali: so all ready for the engagement.
Avni: yes we both r mentally prepared. She said looking at Ali and then at Neil
Rhea: i must say our family members r so quick Prakash uncle managed to find a lovely place for the engagement
Avni: yeah but the most annoying thing is where we r made to try on so many outfits which we only wear for few hours
ali: avni at least some time behave like a girl
avni: what do u mean sometimes I always do
ali gave a *r u serious* look
Neil: Ali don’t forget mom said u have to come to khanna mansion to get ready and we all will leave from there
Rhea: by the way congrats to u both for becoming friends.
Avni. What is there to congratulate we just became friends it’s Nothing big
Rhea: oh yes it is babes especially when two people who never get along become friends
Neil: true after all someone has to think twice to become friends with u miss ajooba he said teasing Avni

Avni: any except horror.
Neil: u r scared of horror movie?
Avni: y is it a crime to be scared of horror movie
Neil: no i thought u won’t be scared of horror movies but people around probably would get scared seen u he said laughing but in return he got smack from Avni on his arm
Rhea: Avni come with me we will go and get popcorn and u both go and choose a good movie and get the tickets
The boys nodded but before going Avni glared at Neil while Neil smirked at her
Ali: so what took u both so long he asked Neil while standing in the line and checking what movies r playing at the cinema today
Neil: we were on our way when Avni saw the beach and wanted to go there for sometime
Ali : she has so many memories at the beach
Neil: she actually started telling me about her childhood.
Ali : if Ashish uncle hadn’t blamed Avni for Ayesha aunty death then u would have seen such a lovely avni full of masti
Neil: u know Ali when she was talking about her childhood and the happy moments she had it felt like I was getting to know a different Avni. She believed in love and marriage but her dads words made her stop believing in all this
Ali: Haan yaar we r just waiting for that day when Avni stops thinking she is actually the cause for Ayesha aunty death as Ashish uncle words have hurt her very badly.
Neil: do u think he will attend the engagement today
Ali: nobody knows the answer to that except Ashish uncle
Meanwhile Avni and rhea were waiting to get the popcorn
Rhea: I’m sorry
Avni: for what
Rhea: yesterday I didn’t call u to ask how u were and even today. U have always been there for me and I couldn’t even comfort u
Avni: I’ll slap u one if u say that again. I know how much U have been there for me so don’t ever say that again
Rhea smiled and hugged Avni sideways
Avni: by the way what movies do u think Ali must have chosen she said changing the topic
Rhea: gods knows but I hope it’s something good.
Then finally got the popcorns and drinks and waited for the boys to see them coming towards them after few mins
Rhea: what movie did u guys choose
Ali: Badrinath Ki Dulhania come lets go it’s going to start in few mins
Rhea: wait wait lets take a selfie first
Avni: how can we forget that when rhea is around then a selfie is a must. Avni and rhea stood next to each other while Ali and Neil stood behind them.. all posed in different angles.
All after went in and sat down at the back. Avni and rhea were sitting together while Ali sat on the side of rhea while Neil sat on the other side of Avni
Avni handed Neil his popcorn and drink
Neil: thanks…. while avni just smiled back… after few mins the movie started… all were enjoying it laughing at the funny scenes in between . During the movie when the song “humsafar” started playing. Avni had moved to take some popcorn in her hands which she had kept bedside her and Neil when she felt something.. she looked down to see her fingers on Neil’s hand which was already in the box… when she looked up to see Neil face he was already looking at her… even in the darkness they could see each other properly (adhm tune playing in the background now)… both their hands were still inside the popcorn box while they continued looking at each other
Suddenly someone from the Audience spoke loudly praising the scene which made Avneil come out of their wonderland and Avni moved her hands away
Avni: y r u taking my popcorn she said behaving normally to avoid the awkward moment .. she spoke quietly so that only Neil can hear her
Neil: I was into the movie so I didn’t realise that I’m taking your popcorn he said speaking in the same tone
Avni: really? Never knew police officers get lost while watching movies I thought they r always alert all the time she said teasingly
Neil : u see miss ajooba even police officers r human and we r always alert especially when we r on duty and right now I’m not on duty but trust me if I know something is fishy then nothing can stop the police man inside me from coming out
Avni: wow even in this u somehow made sure to self praise yourself
Before Neil could say anything rhea whispered
Rhea: guys concentrate on the movie.. she said telling them off.
It was around 3 when the movie had finished
Rhea: it was a good movie right
Avni: hmm
Ali: it would be good after all I chose it
Rhea: and u both couldn’t stay without talking she said to Neil and Avni
Avni: what did I do?
Neil: u r the one who started talking and now u r asking what did I do?
Avni: Haan but that was because of u of u so don’t even blame it on me
Rhea : enough now we have to go
Avni : where
Rhea: diksha bua salon
Avni: not again she said making a face
Rhea: oh yes babes she just messaged me 30 mins ago and I replied back to her saying we rnon our way
Avni. But y
Rhea: babes today is the engagement so she said its best we get some beauty treatment donee. That’s y now come and on and u guys we will see u later she said kissing Ali on the cheeks and hi fived Neil while avni shouted bye loudly as rhea started dragging her by then
At the metha mansion
Dayawanti had come back as she had to go and make some arrangements for the engagement with Neela in the morning…. when she entered the dining area she saw bheema cleaning up
Dayawanti : bheema
Bheema: ji dadi
Dayawanti: where is Ashish
Bheema: he is in his room
Dayawanti nodded and left to go and see Ashish
When she entered the room she saw her son busy going through a file
Dayawanti in her head: I know u have decided not to come to the engagement but don’t forget I’m your mother dayawanti metha and i know exactly how to convince u
Dayawanti metha: Ashish
Ashish looked up from his file to see dayawanti coming towards him
Ashish : maa u Here? Did u need anything
Dayawanti: y can’t i come and see my son? After all I’m seen him after so many years
Ashish: its nothing like that maa u can come to me anytime.
Dayawanti: so how is your business going in abroad
Ashish: it’s going well maa got few new deals so we r going good
Dayawanti: that’s good by the way Ashish Be ready at 6 as the engagement is at 7
Ashish: maa don’t even expect me to be there i have nothing to do with that girl
Dayawanti: Avni is her name!… she said strictly
Ashish: maa please I’m not stopping any of u but please don’t force me
dayawanti: fine if u don’t want to come for Avni then at least come for rhea sake.. Avni doesn’t mean anything to u right?…. but rhea does …plus what will an outsider say a father is not attending his own daughter engagement.
Ashish: fine I will only be attending for rhea and Ali engagement
Dayawanti:thank u
Ashish smiled and got back to doing his work while dayawanti left from there thinking she finally convinced Ashish to attend the engagement by giving rhea excuse
