AVNEIL FF: LOVE chapter 28

Avni had reached home with Neela as ketan dropped them off…. she was sitting near her balcony and looking at the moon…When she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see Neela who sat down next to her

Neela: what r u thinking about bacha?

Avni: just about how my life was before and how it is now…. Maaa shall I say something?

Neela: Kya?

Avni: u know maa when I met Neil for the first time I disliked him at the moment…. every time something would happen and we both argue as to who will say sorry and thank u. Frankly speaking we r not even friends but what he did today maa has made me realised that he is a good person…. Without thinking he supported me took a stand for me… I never expected it from him….but now…she stopped speaking

Neela: now what?

Avni: now i know that whoever has him as a friend would be lucky… she said smiling slightly

Neela: so then y don’t u become his friend… avni looked at Neela surprisingly

Avni: maa I… but Avni could continue

Neela: bacha right now u said anyone would be lucky to have him as a friend then what is the harm in u been friends with him … plus u both r going to be tied in a lifetime bond so been friends would make u both understand each other

Avni thought to herself: how i wish I could tell u everything maa from dadi been in debt to how me and Neil have decide to separate after getting married. But been friends won’t be a bad thing right?

Neela: bacha? Where r u lost

Avni: no where maa she said smiling a little.

Neela: come rest for now and get all the bad thoughts out of your head. Avni nodded while Neela kissed her forehead and left

Once Neela had gone Avni took her phone and messaged Neil…she typed

“Can we meet tomorrow if u r free?”… she looked at the message and deleted it several times and then typed it again. She closed her eyes and pressed the sent button.

Neil who trying to sleep heard his phone beep and when he looked at to see who it was he was surprised to see avnis message. He opened it and read it .

Neil typed back

“Sure I’m free tomorrow at 10 at the cafe” and he sent the message

Avni quickly took her phone to see Neil message and replied back

“Done see u tomorrow” .
And sent the message

Both were laying on their bed thinking about each other

Neil was thinking as to y Avni wanted to meet him while avni was thinking as to what she will say to him tomorrow…

Neil couldn’t sleep and since there was no water in the room he decided to go and get some. He was walking downstairs when he saw Shweta Prakash Bebe and Maddy sitting… he was about to walk to them but stopped when he heard Avni name

Prakash: whatever happened with Avni is really bad despite having a father she was all alone

Bebe: true when Shweta had told me about Avni the first time I felt so sorry for her but seen Avni it shows how strong she is she went through a lot but still she smiled for her family not letting them see the pain she has hidden inside her.

Shweta: u r rights Bebe I just Hope soon Ashish ji realises that Avni never meant to harm her mother all that was an accident but seen what happened today I think it will take a long time

Neil looked curiously at all of them hearing them say all this he was getting anxious to know more about Avni

Next morning Neil had reached at the cafe around 9:50am and was greeted by Ali… he told him how Avni messaged him last night saying she wanted to meet him which also made Ali curious as to y Avni called Neil.

Avni reached to the cafe and saw Neil sitting at the table busy looking at something on his phone and then turned to look at Ali who was busy serving a customer. Ali saw her and both smiled at each other.

Avni walked to where Neil was… Neil casually looked up to see Avni walking towards him…he put his phone away and got up.

Avni: hi she said giving a small smile.

Neil: hi… umm sit he said gesturing to the chair next to him. Avni placed her bag on the chair next to her and sat down

Ali: Rajesh go and give them coffee he said to one of the waiter. With that Ali got back to doing his work as he didn’t want to disturb avneil for now

Luckily the cafe was not that busy and they were sitting at a corner. Rajesh came with the coffee and gave it to both avneil

Avni: Rajesh I didn’t order coffee then y did u bring it

Rajesh: Avni didi Ali bhai told me to give u both coffee. Avni and Neil looked at each other and then at Ali.

Once Rajesh had gone avneil smiled slightly at each other and then took a sip of their coffee Neil was waiting for Avni to start but when she didn’t he spoke

Neil: Avni.. but he stopped when Avni spoke

Avni: thank u

Neil was surprised…. Avni had her gazed fixed on her cup.

Avni: thank u for everything… last night what u did for me means a lot Neil… she said looking at Neil this time

Neil: Avni I jus…but again he couldn’t continue

Avni : no let me speak… if U wanted u could have used this as an opportunity and break our relation but u didn’t… despite us not been friends u took my side without knowing anything… Neil I always thought u r those type of men who is arrogant and would make anyone say sorry or thank but i was clearly wrong u r a nice guy Neil and I’m sorry for misunderstanding u….We r not friends but Ali tried to make us friend. But today Neil I actually want to ask u… will u he my friend?… because I’m sure anyone who has a Genuine friend like u will be lucky…. I want to be your friend not because u stood up for me but because u r a nice guy

Neil: Avni I don’t want u to think that just out of sympathy I stood up for u…at that point I felt u were been treated the wrong way by your own dad and like I said if anyone stranger was been treated the same way then even I would have helped them… about us been friends then….. he paused and looked at avni

Avni could notice a naughty smile on Neil’s face

Neil: let’s be friends he said moving his hands forward Avni smiled and moved her hand forward and shaked it

Avni: friends

Neil: so finally even miss ajoooba had to become ACP Neil khanna friend. After all my charms r like that nobody can resist it he said smirking. While avni rolled her eyes and moved her hands away

Avni: back to your usual self-praising… U just need a chance to praise yourself

Neil: well it’s a fact it’s up to u if u want to believe it.

Avni shook her head while Neil smirked and took a cup of his coffee

Ali watched his two friends finally smiling again and happy that they became friends on their own… he walked up to them

Ali: hey guys what’s up …what were u guys talking about?

Neil: as if u don’t know what we were talking about

Avni: yes I know U were watching us

Ali: ok fine but I’m happy u both became friends but as usual you both started arguing but haan we defo need celebration for this new friendship

Neil: how about all of us go out

Ali: now?

Neil: yeah I mean if your staff r able to manage the cafe

Ali: yes it’s not busy today anyways. I will invite rhea how about u call Kareena

Neil: not possible Kareena won’t be able to make it today as she has gone out with Maddy bua

Ali: got rhea message she is ready to meet up

Avni: so where do u want to go

Ali: do one thing u and Avni reach to the mall as rhea is already there and I will just finish some work off and meet u all there

Neil: its ok finish of your work we will wait

Avni: Exactly let me help u so we could all leave together

Ali: yaar it won’t take long u both reach there I will finish of the work and come there

Avneil nodded and both left to go in Neil car

It had been 5 mins since they had left and they were on their way to reach to the mall

Neil: u know it feels so awkward when u don’t speak

Avni: y do u say that she said looking at Neil

Neil: silence doesn’t suit u as I have only seen u blabbering most of the time he said joking with her

Avni: acha? then once I start my “blabbering” don’t moan

Neil: so we r friends now right?

Avni: god u r seriously mr question mark.. we became friends at the cafe right then y r u questioning about our friendship again

Neil: calm down miss ajooba I was just making sure since its u that I have become friends with

Avni: neilll she said in a warning tone

Neil: ok jokes apart

Avni smiled slightly and looked out the window

Neil: Avni?

Avni: hmmm

Neil: tell me something about yourself

Avni gave a surprised look to Neil

Neil: I mean anything that u would like to say we r friends so I would like to know more about u… but that’s only if u r comfortable otherwise I’m in no hurry
