NEIL: How can you be so good, Avni. What you did for Juhi, after knowing her role in my past – nobody else would have done that.
AVNI: Nothing matters to me more than your happiness, Neil. I can understand your feelings. You have got your long lost love back. Once I see you happily united with your love again, I can leave. [hands the divorce papers to Neil] here, Neil. go ahead sign it.
NEIL: [throws away the papers] bas, Avni. What are you saying? How could you even think of leaving me? The other day I said I would sign it – but that was out of anger, to stop you from putting your life in danger. How do I make you understand, nobody can take your place in my life. Nobody. Not even Juhi. You never listen to me, Avni. Nor do you ever tell me what’s in your mind. Why do you always run away from happiness, from life?
AVNI: Neil, I just want your happiness, and…
NEIL: [interrupts] My happiness? So you have decided yourself what MY happiness is all about? Why are you worried about my happiness anyways, Avni? Tell me. Why do you always risk your life for me? Why do you care for me more than anyone else does? Are you doing me a favor? Or are you just playing with my emotions, and leaving me when you are done with me.
AVNI: [cries] Because I love you Neil, I love you. From the moment you put this mangalsutra on me, or maybe even before… I don’t know, Neil.when I fell in love with you. I didn’t realize my true feelings for you. Not until it was too late, when I had lost you.
NEIL: [Neil holds her face in his palms] Nothing is lost, Avni… I’ve been waiting for long to hear you say what’s in your heart. You want to know why I can’t take my eyes off you – because I want to capture your face into my heart and my soul.
