Avneet Kaur not replacing Tunisha Sharma in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul

Television show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul is the show for which Tunisha Sharma was working. She was essaying the role of Mariam in the show and on 24th December she took the drastic step and hanged herself on the sets of the show. Her mother blamed her co star Sheezan Khan for abetting her to suicide. He is currently in judicial custody and the Police are interrogating him. The show however did not go off air abruptly despite the lead pair not being there. They are currently focussing on other tracks. And the viewers are wondering if the leads will be replaced to keep the show going.

Yesterday the grapevines are abuzz that actress Avneet Kaur has been finalized to essay the role of Mariam that Tunisha had been essaying. However Avneet’s mother has denied the news and called them rumors.

In an interaction with Etimes, her mother said, “Avneet will not be playing the role of Mariam in the show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. These rumours are not true.” We had reported a couple of days ago that the channel will not bring in anyone in Tunisha’s place, instead they will introduce a new female lead character.
So, will Avneet play a new character in the show? Her mother denied even that saying, “No, Avneet will not be playing any role in Alibaba, she is not part of the show.”

Meanwhile, there have also been rumors that Abhishek Nigam will replace Sheezan Khan as the new male lead in the fantasy-based show.
