Avinesh Rekhi to embrace the Sardar persona once more for his upcoming show

Avinesh Rekhi, widely recognized as Sarabjit Singh Gill from “Chhoti Sarrdaarni,” is all set to step into the shoes of a turbaned hero once again in his upcoming project. Interestingly, he will be collaborating with the same team that brought his previous show, “Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na,” to life, which concluded in August last year after a successful nine-month run.

According to the reports, the producers of ‘Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Na’ were eager to work with Avinesh again. The show, set against the vibrant backdrop of Punjab, is tentatively titled ‘Ikk Kudi Punjab Di.’ Avinesh will be seen embracing the Sikh appearance once more. His portrayal as Sarabjit was well-received, and the makers aim to recreate the magic of our previous show with him. While Avinesh’s participation is confirmed, the casting for the female lead and other pivotal roles is currently in progress. Once all the pieces fall into place, the team will kick off shooting by mid-September.

Avinesh Rekhi embarked on his acting journey with “Chhal – Sheh Aur Maat” in 2012. He gained further recognition through roles in “Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon,” “Main Naa Bhoolungi,” and portrayed Akbar in “Bharat Ka Veer Putra — Maharana Pratap” in 2015. He also featured in the horror series “Darr Sabko Lagta Hai.” Avinesh returned to the daily soap genre with “Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji” in 2017.
