The episode starts with Mirza and Mishra filling puzzle in news paper. Majnu, Ashiq, and BBC help them. Bittu walks to them and taunts that they will die unnoticed, so they should do something for the nation. Mirza and Mishra joke on them and others laugh. Bittu slaps Majnu and Ashiq and warns them to be in their limits. Mishra says he was talking about gastric trouble since yesterday and is talking about serving nation today. Mirza says Bittu is reminding them of republic day. Bittu says his party chief requested him to hoist republic day flag. Mishra asks reason for party chief’s favor. Bittu says its politics. Mishra says Shanti and Sakina must have started practicing song to sing at republic day function.
Sakina gargles to clear her throat for song practice on terrace while Shanti consumes honey. Guddu taunts that she may have to consume a drum full of honey. Shanti in Lata Mangeshkar ji’s voice scolds him. He says she is scolding him in rhythm. Sakina asks Shanti if she already started rehearsals. Shanti says like every year, even this year thy need to compete and win during republic day function. Brij and Noor discuss that they have a sweet voice and will win singing competition for sure. Mishra calls Shanti and hearing her changed voice apologizes her calling her sister and disconnects call. She calls back and says its Shanti. He says area officer Balkishan wants to make an announcement regarding republic day function, so she should inform all locality people to gather in market.
Everyone gather at market. Balkishan says they must be thinking why he gathered them, he got an order from high command. Sakina says if CM is thinking about then. He says he means district admin and says this year’s flag will be hoisted from a freedom fighter’s office. Bittu taunts that a few are wife’s slave/Mirza and Mishra and rest are waste bodies here, he cannot see any freedom fighter’s family here. Balkishan says he has a record and will choose via lucky draw. Mishra taunts Bittu that he doesn’t have any chance to hoist the flag. Bittu takes Kanta aside and asks him to bribe Balkishan and convince him to select his name. Mishra says his grandmother told that his grandfather was a freedom fighter. Bittu taunts him. Kanta takes Balkishan aside and tries to bribe him. Balkishan asks him to hold a tree tightly and trashes him. Bittu gets afraid. Balkishan then does lucky draw and picks 3/13 haveli family. Mirza rejoices and says his family will hoist the flag this time. Mishra says family. Noor informs that 2 families reside at 3/13 haveli. Balkishan says whoever gets proof that their forefathers were freedom fighters will get a chance to hoist a flag.
Mirza and Sakina check old documents. Sakina finds Mirza’s old love letters to his girlfriends. Sakina gets angry reading them. Mirza tries to lie and takes her oath. She feels drowsy hearing that. He takes Noor’s oath next. Even she feels drowsy. Shanti finds Mishra’s old marks card and scolds him for scoring low marks. She complains Brij while Sakina complains Noor about Mirza’s old affairs. Mirza says he wrote them 20 years ago but couldn’t give. Brij asks them to forgive each other and move on. Bittu asks if they found any proof. They both say no. Noor suggests to hoist the flag together.
