ATBA: A different type of story (KiVi and RanVeer) – Epi 22

Epi starts..

Next morning in RanVeer room..

Veer couldn’t sleep the whole night and was thinking what would happen to Rani. He had to agree that she was the only one who could give blood to Kiara. Rani came out of the bathroom.

Rani: Kha hua dactor sahab.

Veer went over and hugged her again.

Rani: Aaj itna pyaar? (So much love today?)

Veer: I just want you close to me.

Rani held his hand and guided him to sit on the bed. She then sat next to him.

Veer: Rani, plz don’t do this. I can’t bear anything happening to you.

Rani giggle: Dactor sahab, I am not that weak, you wouldn’t lose me that easily. And Kiara needs our help. Imagine devarji ka halat.

Veer nodded and then kissed her on the forehead.

Veer: You ready?

Rani nodded.

At hospital the same afternoon.

Whole family was gathered outside the theatre as Rani and Kiara was lined up side by side for blood. Veer checked everything and made sure all was alright.

Veer: Dr Kapoor, I am taking this case

Dr Kapoor: But why?

Veer: Don’t ask too many questions. You know Rani meri patni hai, and this is a risky procedure. Please let me be with her and carry this case

Dr Kapoor thought for a moment and then stepped aside.

Dr Kapoor: They are all yours. Good luck Dr Veer and if you need backup call me, you know Rani is like a sister to me too.

Veer: Thanks

He nodded and walked out. Veer went up next to Rani and stroked her head.

Rani: Dactor sahab?

Veer: Shh, let’s get this done.

He gave her anethesia and she slowly closed her eyes. After about 1 hour the procedure was over and both Rani and Kiara shifted to respected recovery rooms. Veer did not leave Rani for one minute.

In Kiara’s room that evening..

Kiara slowly opened her eyes to see everyone gathered around her except for veer and Rani. She looked at Vikram.

Vikram: Kiara! Aap hosh aa gaye (you are awake)

Kiara smiled: What happened? I don’t remember anything

Vikram told her everything until the part where Rani gave her blood to save her life

Kiara: Omg Rani kahan hai Vikram? Woh theek hai? Aur Veer kahan hai? Why they both are not here?

She tries to get up but Vikram tells her to lie back down

Vikran: Kiara, Pagal ho Kya? You need rest.

Kiara: Boliye na, is Rani ok?

Vikram: Sab theek hai Kiara don’t worry

Kiara: Mai usse milna hai pls (I want to meet her)

Vikram: Lekin Kiara –

Kiara: Arey chup Vikram. Please take me to them.

Vikram: You are so stubborn. Chalo I will take you.

He lowered her onto the wheelchair and made her sit and then wheeled her out to the opposite room.

Inside other room..

Rani was still sleeping when Kiara and Vikram entered. Veer saw them and told them to come in quietly.

Veer (softly): Ab Kaise lag rahi Kiara? (How are you feeling now? And what are you doing here?

he looked up at Vikram.

Veer: Vikram –

Vikram: Bro please don’t start, Woh Bohot ziddi hai, she wanted to come see you both.

Veer sighed and then nodded.

Kiara wheeled herself up to Rani on the bed and touched her hand.

Kiara (gently): Rani?

Rani opened her eyes slowly and then looked at her. She smiled

Rani: Kiara ji, aap –

Kiara: No Rani, don’t say anything, you rest. I am just glad you are okay. But what was the need to save my life?

Rani: Kiara ji, you are part of the family too. Esi Kaise jaane dete. For devar ji too

Rani turned to look at Veer who was now next to her.

Veer turned to Kiara: Kiara, let her rest, she is also weak, aap jaake room mein wapis jao.

Kiara nodded and then said to Rani: I will see you soon and thank you Rani.

Rani smiles and the nodded. Kiara and Vikram went out the room leaving Veer and Rani together.

Rani tried to get up with Veer’s help

Veer; Hmm ab Sab theek ho gaye, how about that party of yours?

Rani: Dactor sahab, you are talking about a party when I am lying here

He laughed.

Rani: It’s on Wednesday, Preet ne bataiye ki 7pm ka hai. Please akele mat chodna mujhe (please don’t leave me alone)

Veer: Arey Rani, no I won’t. I love you.

Rani: Love you too dactor sahab

And she fell asleep again in his arms
