The episode starts with Krishna maa noting down month expense list and asks Saraswati if she is missing something. Saraswati says Krishna 2 younger daughters need new sandals and hair bands. Krishna maa notes them down and asks Saraswati if she needs something. Saraswati says Awad wants 1.5 rs to search a government job. Krishna maa notes it down.
Krishna Vajpayee rides his bicycle towards home with Atal. Atal stops him and says the road to book store is on the other side. Krishna Vajpayee says they will go home first, freshen up, and then go to buy books. Atal agrees. They pass by Lala’s shop. Lala discusses with Tomar that Atal is kicked out of English medium school and transferred to Hindi medium school. He notices Krishna and stops him. Krishna stops his cycle and asks him reason Lala makes all the roadside kids stand in a que and asks Krishna what is the difference between these children and Atal as even Atal is going to Hindi medium school like them. Krishna feels embarrassed.
Atal asks Lala why is he keeping a broken weighing machine. Lala says that is none of his business, he will repair it once he gets money. Atal says how will he get money if he stops a passerby and talk nonsensical, he should go and sell his goods and earn money instead of troubling others. Lala stands fuming. Krishna takes him away from there.
Krishna and Atal reach home. Krishna maa excitedly shows him her prepared list and describes all their monthly needs. Krishna feels embarrassed hearing his family’s demands. At night, Krishna maa asks Krishna Vajpayee why he looks tensed. Krishna explains her about principal denying him this month’s salary and says he feels embarrassed to inform his children that he can’t fulfill their basic needs this month. Krishna maa comforts him and takes him down to speak to their children.
Precap: Krishna maa tells her children that their father is hesitant to face them as he didn’t get this month’s salary, what would they like to say regarding this. Children say they will have 1 less roti and will manage the month somehow.
