The episode starts with Awadh getting angry on his wife Saraswati when she asks him to get some job to support their family. He says he will not take up petty jobs and will join only if he gets a good paying job. Krishna maa tries to calm him down. He walks away. Saraswati says if he had done some job, it would have helped their family. Krishna maa says a wife’s duty is not only to cook tasty food and take care of house, her duty is also to get husband on the right path. A postman calls them out. They walk to him. He gives them a letter sent by Gwalior king for Krishna Vajpayee. Tomar passes by and hears them. He walks towards them. A barber stops him and invites him for a hair cut. Tomar indirectly warns Krishna maa that he doesn’t spare his enemies and is still powerful even after
At school, Krishna asks students to give an example of expectation vs reality. A student in a funny way gives an example. Atal laughs. Krishna gets angry recalling him being expelled from English medium and thinks he still hasn’t learnt his lesson. He warns Atal to stop laughing and given an example. Atal gives an example that his grandfather thinks he will achieve something big in life is expectation and he is working hard to achieve that is reality. Class ends. Krishna rides bicycle home with Atal. Back home, he vents out his anger on Atal. Krishna maa gives him king’s letter. Krishna reads it and informs that king has invited him for the poetry competition tonight. He searches for his red poetry book. Krishna maa says he need not worry as he will win the competition like every year.
Atal hears them and insists to accompany Krishna Vajpayee. Krishna gets angry and refuses to take him along. At night, Atal tries to walk out of house. krishna maa stops him. Atal requests her to let him go as he wants to clear his father’s dilemma about English and Hindi medium. Awadh asks her not to let him go. Krishna maa gets convinced with Atal’s explanation and lets him go. She herself follows him to protect him. Atal reaches king’s palace. Guards stop him and question him. Atal chats with him. Krishna with other poets walk out of palace. Poets praise him for winning the competition like every year and being felicitated by the king. Once the leave, Atal walks to him and tells him that the honor he got doesn’t have any traces of English, so he should let him achieve his goals via Hindi medium itself. Krishna gets convinced and smiles at him. Krishna maa joins them and tells Krishna Vajpayee that she was worried as he left home angry, so she came to check on him.
