The episode starts with a British officer stopping Ram katha and saying they are wasting time on a god who is nonexistent. He orders his subordinates to shoo everyone out from there. Atal says he must have not done anything in life and hasn’t achieved anything. Officer says he should ask his subordinates how hard working he is and what he has achieved. Atal says they all know Sri Ram’s achievement. He further asks what is his father’s name. Officer tells his father’s name. Atal asks his grandfather’s name. Officer tells his grandfather’s name. Atal asks his great grandfather’s name. Officer does. Atal asks his great grandfather’s grandfather’s name. Officer asks how does he know, why is he asking stupid questions. Atal says they know who Ram’s father, grandfather, and his forefathers are.
Officer asks what will they get by praying Ram. Atal says people share their sorrows with Sri Ram and Ram is a barrier who doesn’t let their tears fall down. All devotees say he is right. They all ask officers to change his mind towars Ram. Officer chants Jai Sri Ram. Atal completes his Ram katha.
Krishna Maa/KM prepares rotis with great difficulty. Krishna Vajpayee/KV asks her to rest and let Saraswati prepare rotis today. KM says she prepares rotis everyday and if she asks Saraswati, everyone will get a doubt. Shyamlal with Atal returns home with a big grocery bag. KV asks where did they get his from. Shyamlal says they had gone to recite a Ram katha and describes how he fell ill during Ram katha and Atal took over, how Atal taught a lesson to British officer, etc. Atal offers money to KV and requests him not to throw it away like last time as he didn’t ask for it this time. KV recalls the event and feels guilty.
Atal walks to KM and notices her hand bruises. She accepts that she worked as a laborer today to earn money for the family. He applies ointment to her bruises and asks if it’s paining. She says her pain went away with his touch. KV massages Shyamlal’s feet. Shyamlal asks him to stop it or else his children will complain. KV says Shyamlal taught him in his childhood that children learn from elders and follow them, his children will massage his feet when he gets old. Atal walks to him and says they will also learn to lie from him.
Precap: A rival pandit misbehaves with Atal. KV confronts him. Pandit says Shyamlal performed Ram katha in his place and took away his fees, so he wants his fees back. Atal says he will not get that money.
