Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a highly popular and long-running television show, has recently been the center of controversy. The latest development reveals that a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Asit Modi, Jatin Bajaj (executive producer), and Sohil Raman (operation head) on charges of s*xual and mental harassment.
In response to the news, Asit Modi, the producer, released a statement denying all the allegations. He confirmed that they have provided their statement to the police but were unaware of the registration of the FIR. As the matter is currently under investigation, he refrained from making any further comments.
Actress Jennifer Mistry Bansiwala had filed a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi and two other members of the crew the previous month. During an interaction, she shared her perspective, stating that she was falsely accused of engaging in fights while intoxicated and behaving inappropriately with male members of the cast and crew, leading to a hostile working environment. Jennifer expressed her confidence in proving her innocence in court, as she possesses recorded evidence to support her claims. She mentioned waiting for updates from the police, although there has been limited progress in the case so far.
