Ragsan were in their room thinking of each other.

Maya slowly comes behind sanskar and says little loudly in his ears.

Maya: I saw that.

San jerked: wat?

Maya: that only, she drank coffee from ur cup. So romantic na. I love ragini.

San blushes.

Maya: how much u’ll blush. Tmrw is ur engagement. Downside all preparations r going on. R u excited?

San: wat question u r asking maya?

Swa: yes. We r ready for ragu engagement.

Engagement day.

All r busy. Running here and there. Guests arrived.

Moh: mom, badi maa. Everything is done. Y r u running from here and there as if so much work is left.

Suj: checking one more time. Maa ji shud not get angry.

Swara was making ragini ready. Shar entered.

Shar: my angel is ready for engagement?

Swa: yes ma’am. Koi shak?

Shar: bring her to hall.

Sanskar was already waiting for ragini. All elders were present. Ragini comes with swara. Sanskar cudnt take his eyes off from her.

Ragini stands beside him. Both were feeling different by standing together. They feel different when their hand touches with each other.

Dadi: bring rings.

Ap gives ring to sanskar. Ragini forwards her hand. He inserts ring. Swara gave ring to ragini. She made him wear. All claps. Ragsan looks at each other.

Swa: now let’s start some entertainment for making this day special.

Swara bring shekhar and sharmishta on stage. They dance on song

“Aaj kal tere mere pyar k charche har zubaan par, sabko maalum hai aur sabko khabar ho gayi”

San to ragini looking at sharshek: they love each other a lot na?

Rag: ya. My mom, dad r one of best couple and best parents.

Swara drags dp and ap during that dance. And also suj and ram. Ap and suj looks at dadi thinking she may scold but she just smiles. Maya saw that and twirls ap and sujata signing them to dance. They dance with their partners shyly.

As ending of dance swara goes near dadu and murmurs something in his ears and gives mike. He was nodding as no but she pushed him on stage.

Dadi: this is for my dear wife.

He sings “ aye meri zoharjabi, tujhe malum nahi, tu abhi tak hai haseen aur main jawan”

Dadi smiles at him. maya whistles. Seeing her mohit too joined her.

Swara comes on stage.

Swa: now it’s our beautiful couple’s turn.

All were looking very happy.

Rag: coz of us, they all r happy today. M happy that m one of the reason of their happiness.

San smiles at her thinking.

Engagement over.

Ragsan were looking at each other’s ring and smiles.

Swara comes and hugs ragini from behind.

Swa: m very happy ragu. M sure u’ll b very happy in that family.

swara sees her tear drop falls on her hand. She turns and wipes it.

Swa: wat happened? Did jiju said anything?

Rag nod no.

Swa: then?

Rag: thinking of u all. How wil I live leaving u all. Today first time m feeling like my rites on this home became less. M feeling like that family will have more rites on me than u people. Y its like this? After marriage I’ll become guest for my own home. How to leav that place where I spent my childhood.

Shek: who told u wil become stranger? This is ur home only beta.

Ragini hugs.

Rag: I know that dad. But after marriage u cant order me or anything like as u used to do now. M I rite?

Shek kept quite as its true.

Shek: I know u’ll miss many things. But marriage is that turn of life where u’ll get many people who’ll become ur family. They will become ur first priority. Ur husband will walk with u holding ur hand for lifetime. In all tough times he will b with u. parents r for showing the right way. But u both have to walk on that way together not with parents.

All get emotional. Shar was hearing this standing near door. To lighten the environment she says

Shar: if dad and daughter lecture is over then shall we hav dinner? M hungry.

Shek: dekho. Aagayi kabab me haddi. Come ragu, we will continue our lecture some other day. Lets have dinner.

Shar: kabab me haddi? Today I cooked chicken. U wont get leg piece. Only haddi u’ll get.

Shek: sry darling. I was just joking. I love ur handmade food. Come all. Lets have it.

They go to have dinner happily.
