Another mega-budget show Mughal-E-Azam will be soon airing on Colors channel. The news is doing rounds since a while and raising curiosity. The show stars Shaheer Sheikh as the male lead. Shaheer will be surprising the audience once again with the charming role of Prince Salim. Sonarika Bhadoria has been cast as Anarkali. Their chemistry is something to look forward to. Parvati Sehgal will play the role of Salima, one of the wives of Akbar. Shahbaz Khan has been roped in to play the role of Emperor Akbar. Gurdeep Kohli would be seen as Jodha, the wife of Akbar.
Gurdeep will be playing the on-screen mother to Shaheer. The new adaptation of the iconic movie will be seen on the small screens with a fresh cast ensemble. Apart from the known historic elements about Jodha-Akbar and Anarkali-Salim love stories, the show will also explore the father-son relationship in detail. The characterizations are familiar to the viewers already. It will be interesting to see the talented bunch of actors to instill their skills and make the epic show a wonderful treat to watch.

I don’t understand why channels copy shows from each other… First chandrakanta telecasted on life ok, ekta kapoor se sehan nhi hua she made her show chandrakanta, which was wrost show ever, now it will retelecast on rishtey channel, jodha akbar already had movie, then on zee tv, now on colors and it will be spoiled tooo…
Whats the point of making this show….Zee tv already showed Jodha Akbar some years ago…Its been not even 5 years also…Now another jodha akbar…This is weird !!!
The first time I saw Shaheer was in MB& since that I liked him very much.When it gone off air missed not only the team but also him.Then he came with another story with different character of Dev in KRPKAB,that too was awsom.Now I’m excited to see his new look as Salim& the chem btwn Sonarika. Talking about Sonarika, in her last show PV as Mrinalvati she has done a great job.The hardwork done by her for PV is commentable…
But didn’t Anarkali die by Akbars orders and Salim did nothing to prevent it? how is this a love story?
