Colors has recently aired the promo of its new show Vidya, starring Meera Deosthale. Meera has rose to fame as the grown-up Chakor in Colors’ prime time superhit show Udann. Meera’s fans who missed her after Udaan will be getting to see her on the same channel. She will be seen in a completely different character Vidya. She will be playing a school teacher in the show, supporting education in a village too unknown to the system and power of education. Vidya is a social drama emphasizing on the need to fight for the development of education system in rural villages. The show is set in a village in Uttar Pradesh.
Meera will be paired opposite Namish Taneja. He was last seen as the lead in Sony’s Main Maayke Chali Jaungi. Namish will be playing a district manager, who will be an educated, strong and positive person. The show will begin airing in the month of September. Meera and Namish’s pairing will be a fresh one to watch. Vaquar Sheikh will be playing the villain in the show. Lilliput, Sanjay Pandey, Uma Basu, Sudhanshu Sharan and Sanya Dutta play pivotal roles.
