Archana Gautam reveals why she unfollowed Priyanka Chahar Choudhary: A friendship souring experience
Archana Gautam and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who shared a tumultuous relationship within the confines of the Bigg Boss 16 house, recently saw their bond take a hit when Archana unfollowed the actress on social media. During a live chat, Archana offered insights into her decision to cut ties with Priyanka and shared the reasons behind her actions.
“One-sided friendships never work,” commented Archana when asked about her unfollowing of Priyanka. She elaborated, “Even Salman sir had mentioned that if there is no mutual respect in a relationship, it’s best not to continue it. While in the Bigg Boss house, Priyanka and I had our share of disagreements, but everything used to eventually get resolved. Now that I’ve emerged from the Bigg Boss house, my focus has shifted from politics to acting. I aspire to work in TV shows, web series, and more. It seems like Priyanka is feeling the competition, which has led to this change in our dynamics.”
Archana also shed light on an incident at Priyanka’s party, saying, “I put my heart into making Priyanka’s birthday special. My Instagram was filled with her pictures on her special day. She invited me to celebrate at 1:30 am, and I made the effort to attend. Even when she urged me to come to Karjat, I drove for five hours, picking up her brother Rajiv and a friend on the way. However, upon arriving at the party, she consistently ignored me and made me feel excluded. When I entered the pool, she exited; she kept avoiding me. Her behavior at the party was incredibly insulting. She took pictures with everyone but couldn’t spare a moment to take one with me. I ended up in tears, and she didn’t bother to console me.”
Archana went on to reveal that Priyanka didn’t wish her on her birthday or attend her party, despite a personal invitation. She expressed her disappointment, stating, “Priyanka shared a generic post about my birthday from a fake account and didn’t even tag me. She could have easily posted a picture and sent me a simple birthday wish. When I called her to invite her to my party, she responded by saying she would see if she could come and asked about the guest list. Ultimately, she didn’t show up, even though I had included her name in the media invite. I would have been delighted if she had attended, but she didn’t show any regard.”
When asked about the situation, Priyanka responded with, “She’s like a child and behaves immaturely. I don’t want to comment on her childish antics.”
