Apna Bana Le Piya…Make me yours, sweetheart…Part 1

I dedicate this to Ishita Zoy who wants me to write a PraRag story.

Preeti was showing the photographs of some girls to her son Raghav.

Preeti:Raghav…see this girl.

Raghav:Mom…please leave me alone.I am not interested in these girls.

Preeti became dull.

Raghav’s father Keertan said:What is this Raghav?Girls are after you.But you are not interested in any girl.Atleast you do love marriage.We will be very happy if you love a girl and marry her.

Preeti:Yes.We also had love marriage.So we will support you.

Keertan:Don’t tell us that you are planning to live as a brahmachari sage.

Raghav:No dad.I have no such plans.But please give me some time.

Preeti and Keertan became dull.

Raghav went to a place.There was a girl standing.

Raghav:Kiara…why did you call me here?You said you want to talk to me.

Kiara:Ya Raghav.My parents want me to get married.But I am not interested in a typical arranged marriage.They are fine with it.

From my male friends and colleagues I feel you are the best.If you are ok,we can think of taking the next step.

Raghav became dull.

Raghav:Kiara,marriage should be based on love.I consider you as my good friend.I am not able to see you in a different way.

Kiara became upset.

Kiara:It’s ok Raghav.No hard feelings for you.After all we have never dated each other.As you said,marriage should be based on love.I understand.I will see which good guy is meant for me.

Raghav smiled with relief.

At Raghav’s home….

Keertan was irritated with Raghav.

Keertan:Raghav…Kiara is such a nice girl.Still you rejected her proposal.

Preeti:I thought that you will accept atleast Kiara’s proposal.

Raghav:Dad…mom…how did you both think like that?Kiara is a good friend of mine.Nothing more.

Keertan:Will you ever like a girl Raghav to get married?

Raghav:Of course yes.When I see a girl I should feel a connection with her.There should be a spark between us.Then I will fall in love and get married.

Keertan and Preeti nodded.

Preeti:I hope you will find your soulmate soon.

Raghav smiled.

Raghav was driving the car.He saw a car accident taking place and a middle aged couple falling out of the car.

Raghav was shocked.He stopped the car and carried the injured couple to his car.He noticed a phone lying on the road.He took that also with him as he knew that it was the couple’s phone.He drove his car to the near by hospital.He took the couple to the hospital.

The phone which Raghav took from the road started ringing.Raghav attended the call.

He could hear a female voice:Papa…mumma…where are you both?

Raghav thought:I guess..she is the daughter of this couple.

She:Mumma…papa..why are you both silent?

Raghav:Your parents met with an accident.They are hospitalized.

She was shocked.

She:Who are you?

Raghav:I am Raghav.I only brought them to the hospital.

She was sobbing:How are they now?

Raghav:The operation is going on.

She:I will come there now.Which hospital?

Raghav:City hospital.

She came to the hospital.She asked the receptionist:Quite some time back was a middle aged couple was brought here after an accident?I am their daughter Prachi Kapoor?

Raghav heard it from behind.

Raghav:Guess she is the same girl.

Raghav went near her.

Raghav:Excuse me!I am the one who talked to you on the phone.

Prachi:Where are my parents?Are they ok?

Raghav:Relax.The operation is done.They did not have head injury.They are safe.

Prachi was relieved.

Prachi:Thank you very much for bringing my parents here on time though they are strangers.Now a days who does that?I am Prachi Kapoor.You?

Raghav:I am Raghav Arora.

After some time….

Prachi’s parents opened their eyes.Prachi was so happy that she hugged them.

Prachi:You both are alright?I got so scared.

Her father Ram:We are alright beta.

Her mother Priya:Don’t worry Prachi.But how did we reach here?

Prachi:A nice person named Raghav Arora saved both of you.

Ram and Priya were curious to know about Raghav.That time Raghav came inside.

Raghav:How are you both?Feeling better?

Priya:Yes…by God’s grace we are fine.

Prachi:Papa..mumma…This is Raghav.

Ram:Hi Raghav…Prachi told us about you.We are really grateful to you.

Raghav:I did’nt do it to hear ‘thank you’ from both of you.I just got reminded of my lovely parents when I saw you both. Without my parents I cannot live.So I was sure that your children will also be sad without you.That made me take both of you to the hospital.Nothing is more valuable than a life.Right?

Ram-Priya smiled.Prachi looked at Raghav admiring him.

Raghav:Ok.Let me leave now.

Ram:Hope we will meet again.

Raghav smiled.

Raghav:Take rest.

He went out of the room.Prachi followed him.

Priya told Ram:Raghav is such a nice person.

Ram:Yes,he is really a good guy.

Prachi called Raghav from behind.

Prachi:Raghav!

He looked at her.

Prachi:Can I ask you something?

Raghav:Yes.

Prachi:Shall we be friends?Because I cannot get a better friend than a person who protected my parents.

Raghav:Sure.

Prachi extended her hand happily and Raghav held it.

Raghav:Now onwards we are friends.

They both smiled.

Raghav and Prachi were sitting together.Prachi  looked at the starry sky while Raghav looked at her face.

Prachi:The sky looks so beautiful Raghav.

Raghav:You are right Prachi.

Prachi started enjoyed in the rain.

Prachi took the umbrella and threw it away.

Raghav was stunned:What did you do Prachi?

Prachi:I don’t want any umbrella.I want to enjoy the rain.

Raghav smiled.

Prachi enjoyed the rain while Raghav kept admiring her.

Keertan and Preeti came:Raghav!

Raghav looked at them with a smile.

Preeti:Now my son looks happier.Why?

Raghav blushed:Because I am in love.

Keertan and Preeti were surprised.

Keertan:What?My son is in love?I can’t believe it.With whom?

Raghav:Prachi!

Preeti:Your new friend Prachi?

Raghav:Yes.She is a nice girl.I feel a magical vibe when she is around me.

Keertan:I am happy that finally you found your love.

Raghav:Yes…now I know what love is.

Preeti:I am so happy for you Raghav.

Keertan:Did you propose Prachi for marriage?

Raghav:Not yet.Infact she does not even know that I love her.

Keertan-Preeti were stunned:What?

Keertan:What nonsense is this?

Raghav:On Valentine’s day I will confess my love to her.

Keertan-Preeti smiled.

Raghav met Prachi.

Raghav:Happy Valentine’s day Prachi.

Raghav:I want to tell you something.

Raghav smiled.

He thought:Prachi wants to propose me first.

A boy came from behind.

Prachi:Raghav…meet Josh;the love of my life.

Raghav was shattered.

Raghav and Josh looked at each other.

Josh:Hi Raghav….Prachi had told me a lot about you.

Raghav:Nice to meet you Josh.

Prachi smiled:My lover and my best friend are bonding well.That’s really nice.

Josh and Raghav smiled at her.But Raghav was crying inside.
