Anupama 17th August 2025 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com
Anupama wishes Manohar, Jignesh, and Hasmuk a Happy Independence Day. When she learns Hasmuk went to the society’s flag hoisting without telling her, he explains that he thought she would be busy practicing dance. Remembering past celebrations, Anupama talks about Ansh’s marriage. Jignesh jokes about getting married himself, leading Hasmuk and Manohar to tease him. Anupama then decides to attend the nearby flag hoisting and visit the temple.
On the way, Anupama sees a mother preparing her son for Independence Day but carelessly throwing waste on the road. When a sweeper requests her to use the bin, the woman arrogantly replies that it’s the sweeper’s duty to clean. Anupama steps in, scolding the lady and reminding her to respect cleaners who keep the city clean. The boy listens, picks up the waste, and throws it in the bin. He, the sweeper, and a little girl salute Anupama, who then joyfully celebrates Independence Day.
Meanwhile, Pari tells Pari and Mahi about Ansh sending Rakhi pictures, recalling their recent celebration. Rahi notices Anupama’s picture and is teased about being jealous, but she denies being affected by Anupama’s happiness with her new family.
Later, Anupama prepares haldi for Ansh and Prarthana’s ceremony. When Bharti notices her getting emotional, Anupama recalls Samar and reflects on how Ansh is now ready for marriage. Bharti shares that they celebrate Independence Day at the chawl and insists Prarthana’s family must attend the wedding.
Prarthana worries about the Kotharis’ disapproval. Anupama encourages her to try convincing them, and Prarthana asks her to come along. When Parag tries to send Gautam home to avoid drama at the wedding, Anupama and Prarthana visit the Kotharis. Their arrival angers the family, and Rahi questions Anupama’s presence. Anupama boldly replies that Rahi should instead ask why Prarthana fears visiting them alone.
Prarthana pleads with the Kotharis to attend her wedding, but Vasundhara, Parag, and Khyati strongly oppose her marriage with Ansh. Anupama then confronts Parag, giving him a heartfelt lecture for rejecting their love.
Precap: Vasundhara remarks that as long as women like Anupama exist, true freedom cannot be achieved. Anupama firmly responds that despite all the struggles she has faced, she still stands strong. Later, she goes to Anuj Ki Rasoi.

What? As long as Anupama exists true freedom cannot be achieved? Shouldn’t it be the opposite? As long as Anupama exists true freedom then can be achieved, but as long as Vasandhara exists true freedom then cannot be achieved!! What is Vasandhara talking about????????
Why need the Kotharis to attend her wedding when knowing that they are sure to reject or oppose?? If Prarthana needs their attendance then might as well don’t marry as they already disapproved why still face their insults again? If Prarthana thinks that without their attendance her marriage is incomplete then why marry?? Just stay single then!
But whatever Moti Baa said about Anupama is right. She is a disgrace to woman empowerment. Anuj let her pursue her education, run her dance academy, made her a part of his business ,but she preferred to be a doormat for Shah’s.
Malti Devi gave her a project In American which would fulfill her dream to go to America. But she abruptly left it for Choti Anu.
She won Master Chef , and could continue with her partnership in restaurant business, but she chose to return to India and again be a slave to Shah’s.
She started Anu ki rasoi, but kept interfering in a spineless woman’s Prarthana life because of which Gautam ruined her Anu ki Rasoi .
What’s the point in coming now and staring fresh again. She could have stood strong and fought for herself saying she is not responsible for Aryan’s death. She could have fought against Gautam for ruining her Anu ki rasoi
But this woman chose to be spineless when it comes to her matters, leave everything, stay away from others in guilt and then return to continue being a slave and doormat for her haters.
@Swa you are right about Anupama never stand up for herself, she tends to solve other’s problem but not her own! I agreed with you that all opportunities for her to thrive but she chose to give up for others n be a venting machine for venting frustrations against her! Like I said b4 this serial has nothing to do with women empowerment but tormentation instead, where she goes misery follows! But Vasandhara said about she exists no freedom that I don’t understand, what she means by no freedom achieved? Did Anupama stopped anyone? She only restricted herself from progressing but never others! I agree she is spineless n has no dignity, especially what Gautam did to her Anu ki Rasoi she can just report as crime committed but no she sucummbed to it. She allowed Rahi to snap at her again n again for invalid reasons!
Sounds harsh but is accurate. She does not respect or care for herself enough to be successful for a period. Runs after people who insult her and throw her out when she needs their help. Why run after Prarthna? Prarthna has never openly said I was abused by Gautam. Her parents did not support her at all. Yet she goes begging for their blessing. This is emblematic of an abuse victim exhibiting the Stockholm syndrome.
Why doesn’t Rani’s team get disqualified for false accusations? No, the incident is simply shelved away. Rahi knew the full story of the stealing incident, yet she would not have said a word. Disgusting girl/woman. By all accounts, she is an adult woman of 30 or more. But nary a word is said to her.
So true! @Jin you are so right abt Prarthana too, she is also another spineless woman why seek blessings from those who never cared n never speak up for her? Some more dragging Anupama into it knowing well she is the most hated in the family, isn’t she making thing difficult for Anupama? **ofc it’s serves Anupama right to get insulted** the competition commitee also are bias why disqualified The dance ranis when they were accused yet letting Pakhi off when she is the culprit of the accusation?? Rahi’s team should be disqualified as well! Writer are just sleeping!

Writer thought the viewers are fools to ignore such obvious unfairness!! If Rahi team is out no more competition between the dance ranis n Anuj dance academy so no more dramas that’s why cannot disqualify the team, but they can instead disqualify Pakhi only no need to disqualify the whole team as it’s Pakhi who did it!
@Enam Because Anupama has portrayed herself like that. At least Vasundhara has a control on her family, though it’s more of authority and domination than caring for family. But look at the output. None of the Khotaris are Nalayak like Anupama kids.
Anupama couldn’t be a successful independent woman nor could she be a good mother.
All her kids Toshu Pakhi and Pari are fit for nothing creatures who only to hate Anupama and can’t see her happy and put her into troubles.
But none of the Kotaris kids are like this spoiled Trio TRP – Toshu Rahi and Pakhi
It is only people who are not children of Anupama are on the right track and responsible people, be it Ansh Pari or Pakhi daughter ( I don’t remember her name)

What u said is true but it’s also bcoz of how they are brought up, Pakhi n Toshu were more attached to Vanraj, Rahi was more Anuj who brought her up, remember Samar? He was more attached to Anupama n he was a nice man. Besides environment counts too with Baa-Leela attitudes towards Anupama from young Toshu n Pakhi saw how Anupama was not respected by Vanraj n Leela, and how Vanraj was talking bad about n instigating them to not listen to Anupama so they were like monkey see monkey do. Samar never called Vanraj “father” he hated the way he treated Anupama and was attached to Anupama which then made him who he was b4 he died. An upright man!
