Indian Idol is one of the most watched reality TV shows. Popular singer Aditya Narayan was missing from the show for a while as he tested positive for COVID. The singer-turned-actor has recovered from the virus and is back on the sets to host it. Now Aditya is back and will host the show once again.
The upcoming episode will also see a change in judges panel as Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani will be missing. One new entry to the judges panel will be none other than Anu Mallik. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir too will join the show as a judge.
Anu Malik, who was part of the show in the previous seasons and was dropped due to the #MeToo charges, will be returning to the show. The reality show Indian Idol 12 has moved to Daman and the shooting of the recent episode took place there. TV celebs Rithvik Dhanjani and Jay Bhanushali had stepped into Aditya’s shoes to host the show.
Coming back to Aditya, the singer and his wife were tested positive for COVID-19 around April 3 and he had informed fans and friends through his social media accounts about the same. He was even admitted to the hospital after testing positive for the virus. Aditya had requested his fans in his post to keep him in prayers.
Aditya in one of his interviews had shared about the pain he went through during COVID. He had revealed that he had unbearable pain in parts of his body. He also shared that he was in tears the first night and thought that he had messed up at the gym.
