Ankit Gupta, known for his role in “Junooniyat,” is currently relishing a break from work after returning from Chandigarh a couple of months ago. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, the actor sheds light on his former co-star Abhishek Malviya’s stint in Bigg Boss 17, sharing insights into their bond and the dynamics with another co-star, Isha Malviya.
Commending Abhishek Malviya, Ankit describes him as more than a close friend, referring to him as a younger brother. While acknowledging his emotional nature, Ankit shares, “Abhishek is not just a close friend. He is like a younger brother. I am not following Bigg Boss regularly, but I see here and there. He is a very nice guy but he’s over emotional.”
Ankit goes on to discuss Abhishek’s response to Salman Khan’s advice, stating, “Yes, he took Salman sir’s guidance very sportingly and nicely. That’s the best part about Abhishek, he wants to learn.” Having worked together in “Udaariyaan,” Ankit emphasizes Abhishek’s eagerness to improve and learn from others.
Addressing his relationship dynamics, Ankit clarifies that he never connected with Isha Malviya on a personal level. “Meri vibe Isha ke saath Kabhi match he nahi hui. We had a very cordial relationship. Only hi hello and kaam se kaam.” In contrast, Ankit highlights the friendly nature of his relationship with Abhishek.
As a supportive colleague and friend, Ankit wishes Abhishek the best of luck in Bigg Boss 17, expressing hope for him to continue improving and ultimately bring home the trophy. In a piece of advice, Ankit suggests maintaining a distance from Isha Malviya, recognizing the complexities of matters of the heart within the confines of the reality show. “I think he should maintain a distance from things or people who affect him or hurt him,” concludes Ankit, shedding light on the intricacies of navigating relationships in the Bigg Boss house.
