Anjum Fakih quits Kundali Bhagya

Anjum Fakih, who has been part of Kundali Bhagya for six years, has quit the show. The actress who will be participating in Khatton Ke Khiladi 13 says she is not quitting Kundali Bhagya because she was offered Khatron Ke Khiladi. She talked about it in a recent interview and shared that she had been planning to do it for a while now.

Anjum said, “I believe the story has reached a point where it became necessary to introduce new chapters with newer characters. It took six years for Kundali to introduce a 20-year leap. It was much needed for the growth of the show and the storyline. Now, after the leap, I feel my character Shrishti, who had a meaty role in the show for the past 6 years, doesn’t have much to do. My character continues to be strong but with the show taking a leap, I feel it’s time to let the new characters shine. Good things end eventually and it was time to move ahead with a positive approach.”

When asked if she will return to the show after her non-fiction outing is over, Anjum replied, “I am already serving my notice period, but if ever I am needed by the makers, I will not think twice.”
