Same day at night

“dadi.. Tution teacher asked me to bring fees tomorrow. We didn’t pay last month fees also.. Teacher gave this chit to u” swara gives a chit to shoba

“1500/= rs pending… ” shoba sighs and goes to kitchen and takes a small container and gets the saving and counts it.

“just 1000/= is here.. What to do now? ” shobha sighs..

Shoba sits on the floor thinking what to do and swara’s cough sound distracts her. She goes to the room where manav and swara are studying.

“shoru! Wht happend? Y r u coughing? ” shobha asks rubbing her back.

“she was eating ice cream when she was coming from the tution. ” manav said getting a glare from swara.

Shobha gets angry. “how many times i told u not to have that ice cream. That’s only made by water and saccharine. Already u have wheezing.. I god. Now i have to search for ur medicine also. ” shobha scolds swara and looks for the medicine.

“take this medicine and sleep. ”

But the cough doesn’t suppress and increase by time.

Mid night

Shobha didn’t sleep till now because of swara.. She gets breathing problem also. She places more pillows on her head and pats her till she sleeps.

“morning need to go to hospital. ” shobha thinks and sleeps beside swara making her own hands as pillow…

Next morning

“Manav get up soon i need to take swara to the hospital. U need to go to school. ” shobha hurries her work. She makes milk rice and a coconut curry.. Packs it for manav and puts some milk rice on plate by this time manav also gets ready for the school and comes to have breakfast. Even ayush Also gets up

“dadi.. Didi is sthill sleeping ” ayush says on his own childish way.

“come my dear. Your didi isn’t well. Poor girl.. Don’t disturb her and let her sleep. U come and wash your self. U need to go to nani’s home. ”

” y dadi.. No i won’t go there. Nani will scold me. ”

“u r my sweet ayush baby b
Na. I’ll tell nani to not to scold u. I have to go to hospital with didi.. ”

After convincing ayush shobha sends manav to the school advising him to go to nani’s place after school because she doesn’t know when she will return home.

After sending manav to the school and ayush to nani’s home shoba wakes swara up and make her get ready to go to the hospital. Swara is very week and couldn’t stand properly. So shoba lifts her and leaves from home. They need to walk for at least 30 minutes distance to reach bus stop.

After ten minutes shobha gets tired and sits on a nearby stone. She gets deep breaths. Bt she need to reach bus stop anyhow.

Swara looks at her dadi and and feels sorry..

” dadi.. I’ll walk. now I’m big girl na. ” says wiping her sweats.

” shoba gets emotional and kisses her on forehead. ” nahi shoru I’ll lift u. I can lift u. Ok? ”

Shobha lifts swara again and begins to walk. They reach bus stop and wait for the bus.

Precape:

“no shekar. I’ve decided. I can’t look after them here after. decide anything. I don’t care.. They are your children.. I’m leaving.. ”
