Ami Trivedi debunks rumors of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai’ leap; Confirms ongoing role

Ami Trivedi, currently portraying the role of Harshad Chopda’s mother in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai, recently shared her joy in playing the character in a recent interview. She also addressed speculations surrounding her character’s future in the show.

In response to rumors of her character’s exit, Ami Trivedi clarified, “I am actively shooting, and there’s no plan to end my character’s track. I find immense satisfaction in portraying Manjiri, and this phase of my life is truly fulfilling. Manjiri’s character has undergone various transformations, from positivity to deep emotional turmoil, and at times, displaying shades of gray due to her protective instincts towards her son. There was a period when her character took a negative turn upon witnessing Akshara (Pranali Rathod) marrying Abhinav on the show. However, such twists are typical in daily soaps, and I’m content with the interesting scenes I’ve been part of.”

Rumors of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai taking a leap have been circulating, particularly since the conclusion of Jay Soni’s storyline. Speculations have arisen regarding the potential exit of Harshad Arora and Pranali Rathod from the show after the leap. When asked about these rumors, Ami Trivedi responded, “We have indeed heard these rumors, but the production team has assured us that they hold no truth. Therefore, our primary focus remains on our work.”

At present, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai is concentrating on Akshara’s journey as she attempts to return to a normal life following the loss of her husband, Abhinav (Jay Soni). Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda) is supporting her as a friend, and together, they are co-parenting their child, portrayed by Shreeyansh Kaurav on the show.
