Alibaba: Daastan-E-Kabul’s shoot was stalled after actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide on the sets of the show. More problems arose when the lead actor of the show Sheezan Khan became the prime suspect. He is Police custody since then and the show needed to move on. After many rumors of various faces coming to the fore to essay the titular role of Ali Baba in the show, actor Abhishek Nigam was finalized for the same.
Now Abhishek will be seen in the lead role of Ali Baba, which was previously played by Sheezan Khan. A new promo featuring his entry has been released by the channel. However,we are still waiting for his face to be revealed in the show.
The makers released the promo announcing, “Something big coming up, stay tuned.” They have also changed the name of the show from Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul to Ali Baba: Ek Andaaz Andekha Chapter 2. The promo gives a glimpse of the new character on top of a building and it reads, “Wapas aaraha hai woh.”
A new narrative will be given to the show as Abhishek will be entering it. It was reported earlier by the sources close to the show that Abhishek’s entry as ‘rakhwala’ happened with getting an ancient cosmetic surgery. How it will all be rolled in the story, the source informed, “It will be shown that Ali was gravely injured and was healed and got a new face through ancient cosmetic surgery.”
Apart from Abhishek, Twinkle Vashisht will be seen joining the cast. The search for a female lead is still on.
