Ali Merchant, whose name was recently made headlines after Tina Datta’s revelation about one of her close friends named Zuzu on Bigg Boss 16. Everything Tina did somehow was linked with Zuzu, be it sending clothes for her to threatening Archana Gautam with his name. A chain of rumors started about who is Zuzu and Ali Merchant became the talk of the town suddenly. Now the actor has opened up and spoke at length about the same to Etimes.
Ali said, “It’s just a baseless rumour, although I might know who Zuzu could be, but that’s her personal matter.”
When asked about how he got to know about this and what his reaction was to it when he heard of it, Ali says, “I got tagged in multiple comments and posts related to it, and I was wondering how much spare time the people have to come up with such hilarious theories. My family and I were all laughing at this rumor.”
Why would people think that he is Zuzu, he says, “Probably because we had been friends and our pictures from the past must’ve resurfaced.”
He concludes, “Tina and I share a very sweet and respectful bond of friendship. We used to hang out often, a long time ago, and eventually, we got busy with our lives.”
Tina recently got evicted from the Bigg Boss 16 house and was evicted. But was brought back the next day.
