Akshara Singh talks about her Dilli Ki Diwali experience

Akshara Singh who spent her childhood in Delhi went back to her roots for a break after the hectic schedule and a stressful stint in Bigg Boss OTT. Talking about why she choose Delhi for her break in an interview with BT, she shared “The occasion was my friend Paritosh Tripathy’s mother’s birthday, and I thought that what better time than this to be in Delhi. I love this time of the year in the city when there’s a slight nip in the air. It is also the onset of the festive season and it was very special to experience the festive vibes in Delhi,”

The actress also met her friends in Delhi and ate at her favorite spots while shopping for the festival. “I started working at the age of 16, and since then, I feel I haven’t even got time to breathe in peace. The only time when I was away from work and my phone was when I was in the Bigg Boss house, but that was even more stressful than being at work (laughs). So I needed two-three days for myself to spend time with friends and do things that I have been yearning to do. I also planned a day’s trip to Mathura and Vrindavan. I have a spiritual connection with that place,” says Akshara.

She added, “Though I couldn’t stay in Delhi till Diwali, I did my festive shopping there. I love going around Connaught Place, and each time I am there, I tend to think about all the times from my childhood when I would visit that place. I feel so nostalgic there,”

Mandi House aur aas pass ke saare gali-mohalle sab yaad hain mujhe,” she tells us.
