Around 10 minutes later Naina entered the classroom with 2 boxes in her hand..
Karan was lost in his thoughts..he had sunk his head in his plams and had shut his eyes ,tightly…
He suddenly felt someone sitting down on his right! He was shocked to see Naina sitting next to him..
Naina kept one box in front of him and kept another in front of herself,opened it and started eating!
Naina: lo! Khao! Bahut tasty hai….try karo!
Karan: Seriously???…Miss Naina Batameez now feels that I’m gonna eat the food that she brought! Wow!!
Through his hands up in the air..
Naina: And Mr. Akdu thinks that he can get away just like that! Poor boy, he doesn’t know Naina.. she is saying that she won’t move until akdu finishes his lunch!
He gave in an irritated face.
Karan: Tum Batameez ke sath-sath zidhi bhi ho!
Naina: Mujhe patha hai!
She gave a sweet smile..
Karan: so how long will you sit here?
Naina: if you finish your food then I’ll get up and if you don’t then I’ll sit here only..
He wanted to move out but apparently on his left there was a wall and to the right there was a beautiful wall, the Ziddi Naina wall!
He was stuck! He then thought that she would move away when people would come back to class after lunch..
Naina finished her lunch and sat there only.. She didn’t move an inch!
He just wanted to get out of there!
Suddenly ,his face brightened up as he saw Naina’s friends search for her and they were going to enter the class!
He felt that Naina would get up when her friends would come!
Karan was always troubled and teased by his classmates..He knew no one would sit next to him if people were around, because people cared more about their own reputation and nothing else!
Sanjana walked in first and saw her sitting next to Karan and she was shocked
Sanjana: Naina, tu waha kya kar rahi hein?
Naina: Nothing much!
Karan was really confused.. Naina was completely chilled out.. didn’t she care about her reputation in front of her friends?
Radhika: Naina?!?!What on earth are you doing there?
Naina: Simply sitting and waiting for Karan to eat his food..
She turned to look at him..
Merlin(to radhika, whispering): what is going on? Why is she sitting there?
The three girls looked confused..
Sanjana(to merlin): nothing much..she’s gone mad!
Radhika: I think we should ask her when she comes back!… (out aloud to Naina) Naina, we will meet you later..we are going to the library now ,okay?
Naina was happy, she smiled at her new bestie.. Radhika!
Karan gave up hope! Naina turned towards him and gave a smile..
Naina: So what’s your plan – eating food or sitting here forever?
He didn’t say anything, he took the box angrily and started eating! He finished it soon.. Naina smiled at him! He turned to look at her. He saw her smile and got lost in his dream land.. They had a cute eye lock!
Soon both of them realised and got up to leave..
Naina: Karan?
Karan: huh?
He simply turned back unknowingly..
Naina: I’m sorry for forcing you, but I felt that you wouldn’t have food.. so I brought it here!
She said innocently , her eyes said that she was really concerned
Naina: Friends?
Putting a smile on her face and slightly raising one of her eye brows.
Karan just looked down at the floor then turned around ,looked forward and nodded!
Karan: hmm..
Naina’s smile widened.. she was really happy she never expected him to say a yes!They picked their bags..
Karan left the room with a small smile on his face..remembering his past brought in a painful smile on his face back again and his face slowly turned completely disappointed!
Naina was really happy..She had a big smile on her face!She left the classroom to go to the library..She signalled her friends from outside and then her friends quietly kept the books and came out!
Sanjana: Naina ! Why were you sitting next to that Karan?
Naina: I saw him sitting alone there so I went to talk to him, he then told me that he was not going to have food! So I….
She was interrupted.
Merlin: So you sat there to feed him is it?
Radhika: Shut up guys stop overreacting!
Sanjana: Naina joined recently and she has a very good reputation and she is all set to spoil.
Merlin: There are many boys in this college and you only found only Karan, out of all , to give company?
Naina: what are you saying? What’s wrong if I give Karan a company? Isn’t he a human ?
Sanjana: Karan is always teased by almost everyone at college , he doesn’t have a single friend , he avoids everyone, he doesn’t even speak up for himself , if you try to talk to him or ask for help he ignores you and he is always rude.Who will give a company to such a person?if you walk with him then people will tease you too!
Naina: Seriously?
She just found all of this ridiculous. She just walked away..
As she walked away she saw Karan walking towards the Library! She ran towards him and started walking with him!
Naina: Hi Karan!
Karan: what are you doing? People are just going to tease you for hanging around with me! So.. please.. leave Naina!
He said it without raising his voice!
Naina: And Karan thinks that Naina will listen to him! By the way you know how to speak sweetly too!
He stopped before the library.
Naina:By the way what are you doing here in the library…did you actually come here searching for me or you really had some work? Huh?
She gave a mischievous smile!
Karan: Ha ha very funny! I actually came here for….
Naina kept looking into his eyes , she folded her hand and tapped her feet waiting for him to answer, as though she knew the answer and he was lying !
Karan: Ya..I came here to search for a book !
Saying this he walked into the library. Naina’s jaw dropped a little , she knew he was lying! She followed him, into the library..
They started whispering now
Naina: Karan?
Karan:Naina please.. people might see you walking with me.. go!
Naina: No one will notice and if they do.. I don’t even care!
Karan didn’t have anything to say..they found a book and then sat down at a table. They sat facing each other.
Naina: Karan, can I sit with you from tomorrow onwards?
Karan: Are you mad, Naina?
Naina: yup! A little !
Karan: no I don’t call that, a little, it’s a lot!
Saying this he giggled. Naina faked anger. Karan thought that he did a mistake.He stopped giggling immediately!
Karan: I’m sorry, Naina! I didn’t mean to..
He was interrupted by her laughter, she couldn’t control it, at that time she kept her hand on his and kept laughing!
Karan also laughed along with her
Naina: Karan ….. you are really funny!
The librarian couldn’t help but come and tell Naina to stop laughing, cause she was loud! People were staring at the two, they wondered how Naina was sitting next to Karan.. they were LAUGHING!!!! Librarian was really happy to see Karan happy!
He was lost in Naina’s laughter! He looked at her hand kept on his he stopped laughing and slowly his eyes welled up!
Librarian: ahem! Excuse me please! You are sitting in the library so please sit in silence..
Naina stopped laughing looked into his eyes..they exchanged a mischievous smiles and started giggling.. then slowly picked up their stuff and left the room giggling…
Librarian stood there with her hands on her hips, smiling and watching the two of them leaving the library!
At Meghna’s hostel, in the evening:
Meghna stopped all her work and remembered her talk with Kunal..
Meghna: Priyanka , you know Kunal and Rahul? I heard that they were your friends n all? Were they?
Priyanka: Yes, Unfortunately they were.. a big mistake..that Rahul.. he faked.. he just wanted to play with me! He had got a dare, to get me fall for him and really thought that he liked me genuinely!
She started weeping.. Meghna went and hugged her tightly and comforted her…
