Epi 37

Varun was extremely angry now.
He broke their eyelock.
Varun: Naina, are you okay?
Naina turned around and Karan looked up to find Varun there.
Karan was angry to see him. And Naina was a little disappointed to see him here as he had broken their romantic moment and she can’t have any romantic moments with Karan if Varun is here.
Naina( hesitantly): Yes, I’m fine! Hi! You here?
Varun: yes..done buying?
Naina: nope.. need to buy some *****
Varun: oh wow same here.
Naina: Chalo then lets go buy it..
Naina and Varun were busy discussing things and buying stuffs.. Karan wasn’t liking it at all.
He thought of going and waiting in the car but didn’t find Varun’s intentions right so he stood there waiting for them to finish shopping..
Soon those two finished buying stuff and came out. All three of them walk towards the car.
Naina asks Karan if they could drop Varun on the way.
Karan couldn’t deny. He easily agreed.
Naina smiled at him and told Varun to join them as they planned to drop him on the way.
On reaching the car, Naina walked forward and opened the back door and sat in and moved in, leaving space on her left.
Varun was about to sit there but…
Karan: Varun.. why don’t you sit in the front?
Varun frowned and obeyed. As he didn’t want to argue in front of Naina..
Karan sat with Naina. Naina saw all this and smiled at Karan. She understood that he was jealous.
She was staring at him till he sat down next to her.
When he sat down he noticed Naina staring at him.
Karan: What?
Naina: Kuch nahi…
She smiled at him.
Naina was talking a lot. Karan felt jealous. He was watching Naina, happy. He was happy and also felt as though he was a wall between the two of them…
But then he couldn’t think of letting her go. She was his precious gem. He can’t even think of it.
The list was pretty long that they had taken the whole day to finish their shopping.
Karan sat there quietly.. watching Naina talk..
Naina was tired talking now. To give some break she asked Varun to switch on the radio..

As the song started.. all of them relaxed their backs to their seats..
All three were lost in their thoughts..
Varun thinks about his cute childhood moments with Naina.. the hide and seeks.. paperboats.. pranks on elders.. buying the same watches and shoes.. like twins…
Varun then slowly looks into the rear view mirror and stares at Naina,who had her eyes shut with a smile on her face.
Karan was looking outside and remembering their college days together.. meeting for the first time… sharing secrets.. becoming best friends.. laughing at each other.. teasing their friends.. hifiz..
He looked at Naina..then looked away..
While Naina remembered thier moments during their marriage.. how her cousin pranked her and wrote his name on her hand.. kids pouring the haldi on the both… and the sudden decision of their marriage..and looked at Karan..

Then both of them reminisce all their moments together after marriage.. their cuddled up mornings.. sharing of plans.. picking up each other.. waiting for each other.. concern.. their close moments when Naina was hurt.. Naina consoling Karan.. Karan’s half-minded kiss on Naina’s forehead.. Naina caressed his hair and Karan hugging her.. Then she kissing on his forehead while he’s was asleep.. Karan saving Naina from falling..all these brought a smile onto their faces..
soon the song ended..
Varun was looking out and dreaming..

Suddenly Karan turned to look at Naina, who was still lost in Karan. He caught her staring at him.. but now he couldn’t stop himself from looking at her. Both their eyes glittered in the mild darkness..
Both remembered their moments once again..
Soon they reach Varun’s house. With the sudden break both of them look away from each other..
Varun: last time you guys promised that you would come for dinner.. so many days passed by ,join in today at least..
Naina looked at Karan.. she made a puppy face, folded her hands and muttered..
Please..
To which..
Karan: Chalo..Mein ma se keh detha hoon ki hum bahar se khana kha kar ayenge…
He said in a low voice..Varun didn’t hear it. Naina whispered Thank you and in excitement she hugged Karan..
Karan had a very weird feeling. He felt like all the internal organs were now at different places, jumping all about..
He was in a shock! He looked down at Naina, and whose head was on his chest. His heart had reached an abnormal state.
Karan’s POV: why do I feel very weird when you are around,Naina? And why does that shiver pass through my spine, when that warm hug of yours touches me?
Naina soon realised what she was doing
She broke the hug.
She looked at him and smiled. So did he.
Naina turned forward and agreed to Varun’s request.. Varun asked them park the car and come up. He then got off and ran into his house.. he asked his caretaker to cook extra food. And he set his room and checked if the house was neat.
By then Naina and Karan slowly got off the car and went ahead.
They walked into the house and found the house to be well maintained. As they walked in they saw the frames.. almost all the pics were Naina and Varun’s candids. Naina was awestruck but Karan was irritated. He felt like Varun had some intention to bring them here. Something that he can see but Naina can’t.
He ignored all that. Soon the dinner was set and Varun came and took them to the table.
It was a table of six Varun sat on the main one. Karan was tensed thinking.. where exactly Naina would sit. If Karan sat on Varun’s left then She might sit on his right or maybe the other way round. He felt like things were slipping off his hands.
He sat on Varun’s right. Varun smirked at Karan’s worried face.

Tada……..
