Episode 10
??it is my previous episode!
Karan and Kunal stared at each other!Karan looked away suddenly! He stretched the bottle towards Meghna.Meghna took it and smiled at him. He didn’t hesitate to return a smile. Meghna drank it!
Karan: Are you okay? I think you should sit down somewhere. Please!
Showing the way. They moved in and sat down. As soon as they sat down. He excused himself and moved out..
Naina (thought) Karan ko kya hua! Phir se khadoos ban ke dikha raha hein!
Naina: guys! Give me a minute I’ll be back..
She left..
Meghna: tum Karan ko kaise janthe ho?
She had asked Kunal!
On the other side:
Naina: Karan, ab Kya hua? Woh kaun tha?
Nairan were standing outside the restaurant while Meghnal were seated inside.
Karan and Kunal: woh Mera bhai hein!
Naina and Meghna were shocked by the way they behaved… even after being brothers they didn’t bother to look at each other! That was strange! Why did they ignore each other?
Karan : I know this is weird! I just needed few minutes outside! I don’t plan to break the promise made to you but give me few minutes and I’ll be back !
Naina smiled and left him..
And remembered..
Today morning..
Karan was laughing at the mistake Naina made in the project they were working on. They were seated opposite each other on their couches with a small table in front of them, with all the things required for the project, it was messed up ,totally! He sank into the couch laughing. Naina had laughed too but slowly she sat there admiring his laughter! She thought.. how I wish people knew how sweet and funny Karan is!
She brought a wide smile onto her face! Karan stopped laughing as he noticed Naina. By now he had almost understood Naina! He understood that she has got a plan in her mind. He sat up straight and raised his eyebrows.
Karan: What are you cooking up in your mind? There is definitely something!
Naina stretched her hand out forward!
Naina: Karan promise that will be this cheerful in front of my sister and her friends! Apart from me, let them also know how you are! Don’t be an akdu there..Please….
Karan: ok! Promise!
He kept his hand on her hers…
Coming back to reality.. Naina seated herself next to her beloved sister! Kunal sat next to Meghna. Next to Kunal , a little far away, sat Rahul and then Priyanka!
They were sitting at round table.
Naina saw Karan walking in. She introduced him to all of them!
Naina: so guys this is my best friend! Karan!
Karan smiled at her. Kunal was surprised to see him smiling!
Karan pulled out a chair from another vacant table, placed it next to Kunal and sat down!
Kunal thought this Karan was the one I had known 2 years back! After the incident 2 years back he had changed completely! But I’m happy to see my brother like this back again..I’m sure it’s Naina!
Naina started the conversation..
Naina: Toh? College kaisa hai? Aap kaise ho?
Priyanka: seriously?! “AAP!!”
All of them smiled and giggled..
Naina: aap sabhi mujhse bade hein na? is liye!
Rahul: Tum bohot cute ho Naina!
Priyanka stared at Rahul. While Karan felt somewhat weird.. as though something was burning inside him! Kunal and Meghna looked at each other and smiled!
Rahul: I meant ki Naina bohot sweet hai!
Priyanka narrowed her eyelids! Rahul noticed all this from the corner of his eye but then suddenly Rahul and Naina burst out laughing looking at Priyanka and hi-fied each other!
Naina: Di, yeh mere bhai jaise hein.. so you don’t have to be worried!
Kunal and Meghna giggled looking at each other. Karan giggled too! Priyanka faked anger but suddenly lost control and started laughing at herself! She slapped Rahul’s shoulder and side- hugged him..
Karan: So, shall we order something?
Meghna: Yeah,sure!
Karan: So, Meghu Di! Umm.. I hope you don’t mind me calling you that! What would you like to have?
Meghna smiled at Karan. And ordered her favourite dish.
He finished asking everyone. He asked Kunal too but Kunal said he didn’t want anything! Karan called the waiter.
Kunal was lost somewhere! He was listening to his brother’s voice after a very long time.. he remembered their childhood! The fun they had together! Soon everything faded away..he came to reality and saw his brother ordering..
Karan:…aur bhai ke liye ****** pasta! And ya add extra cheese to it!
Kunal’s eyes almost popped out as he heard his brother mention His (Kunal’s) favourite food!
Kunal was delighted to know that his brother remembered his favourite dish! He sat up straight with excitement and looked at Karan..who giggled at Kunal’s reaction!
The rest of them understood that Kunal loved the dish and his reaction made them burst out into laughter!
Karan stopped giggling realising what he had done. And looked down and smiled painfully!
Kunal had tears of joy in his eyes,he tried wiping them before anyone would notice. But Meghna noticed it.
Naina noticed Karan..He slowly looked up. She knew something was wrong! She looked at him and asked him through actions, as to what had happened?
But he simply nodded no with a deliberate smile put on his face!
Kunal smiled all throughout while Karan kept looking at his beloved brother secretly!
Soon they were done. They all planned to get back to their hotels. Priyanka and Rahul excused themselves and left together. So Meghnal had planned to drop Nairan back to their hotels.
Karan and Kunal kept silent as the two sisters sat there talking without any stop! Kunal and Karan just smiled at themselves!
Soon they dropped Nairan. They went into their rooms and changed. Karan walked out of his room, sat down on the chair ,placed next to the hotel.
Naina wasn’t feeling sleepy either she walked out of her room to find Karan sitting alone. She went and sat next to him. He looked at her and smiled. He had covered himself with a thick blanket.
Karan and Naina: Thank you!
They looked at each other then giggled.
Karan: Tum Thank you kyun keh rahi ho?
Naina: for being yourself today!
They smiled again..
Naina: And you?r
Karan: Thank you for making me promise you! I felt like myself after 2 years!!
Naina had a confused look.
Karan: I want to share something with you!
Naina was all set to listen. She sat up straight and turned towards him.
Kunal was driving Meghna back to the hostel.
Meghna: Thank you so much Kunal! For coming and meeting my sister.
Kunal: thanks to you Meghna. I got an opportunity to see my brother in his usual self after 2 years!
Meghna was confused too!
Kunal: Can I share something with you?
Meghna: bolo Kunal!
