Raghav greets Kali, who cryptically informs him that a big drama is about to unfold and that all that remains is to get Ved intoxicated beyond comprehension.
As Sanya announces the arrival of Yuvraj and Mehek to the audience, Kali and Uday pressure Ved to drink. Despite his initial refusal, they guilt him into taking a glass, though he still doesn’t drink. Meanwhile, Aarti, en route to the party after a mysterious call promising information about her father’s killer, is warned by Bhajan (the secret caller) on how to find the event.
Upon arriving, Aarti is shattered to see Ved dancing with Kali, exactly as he had promised her he wouldn’t be. Ved spots her and calls out, but a heartbroken Aarti flees. Wracked with guilt and sorrow over her seeing him with Kali, Ved abandons his restraint and begins downing glass after glass of alcohol, quickly becoming intoxicated.
In a drunken rage, he smashes a glass and demands the music stop. The Rajput family looks on in disapproval as Ved, now heavily drunk, confronts Kali. When she tauntingly asks if he loves Aarti, he lashes out, calling Kali his love one moment and proclaiming his hatred for her the next, even demanding she be thrown out. He continues to drink directly from a bottle until he collapses on the floor.
Mehek questions the chaos as Abhay and Uday haul Ved onto a sofa. Seizing the opportunity, Uday places wedding registry papers in front of the incoherent Ved and instructs him to sign, dodging Ved’s slurred questions about what they are.
Precap: Uday and Abhay manage to get Ved’s signature on the wedding registry papers. Still intoxicated, Ved approaches Aarti and tells her that he will protect her and never let any harm come to her.
