Helplessly, Padma folded her hands before God, praying to preserve the fragile bond between Anjali and Aarti. A sense of dread filled her heart. She then called Ganesh and anxiously informed him that Anjali was heading to the engagement. Ganesh immediately asked if she had tried to stop her. Padma admitted she hadn’t, explaining that Anjali wasn’t attending as a mother but as a lawyer—with the ACP officially accompanying her.
At the grand Rajput house, lights glittered as guests gathered for the twin celebration—Diwali and the engagement of Ved and Aarti. Sadhika took the stage, joyfully announcing both occasions and warmly welcoming Ved’s family. Raghav smiled and encouraged the young couple to exchange rings. Amidst the applause, Ved and Aarti took the rings in their hands, ready to seal their bond—when the hall suddenly fell silent.
From the entrance, ACP Pankaj’s firm voice rang out: they were to stop the engagement immediately. All heads turned as he and Anjali strode in. The Rajputs looked on in confusion and suspicion. Gaurav explained that security had tried to stop her, but he had allowed her entry, believing her to be family. Abhay frowned and asked Anjali why she had come uninvited.
Anjali’s tone was calm yet commanding. She stated clearly that this engagement could not take place—Ved’s marriage case was still before the court. Until Ved was legally proven never to have been married to Kali, he could not get engaged to Aarti. The announcement sent murmurs through the hall. Ganesh intervened, his tone heavy with anger. He asked Anjali to leave at once, reminding her that this was his granddaughter’s engagement. Anjali, emotional yet firm, retorted that Aarti was her daughter too. Ganesh snapped back that Anjali had never done anything for Aarti, lying comatose for years after her birth. For him, Aarti had always been both his daughter and granddaughter.
Aarti and Ved pleaded with Anjali to stop opposing them. Aarti cried that she loved Ved and begged her mother to let her be happy. Ganesh praised Raghav for bringing two souls together. Sadhika, losing control, called Anjali a witch for destroying her own child’s future.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj froze upon seeing Ravi. Trying to dodge attention, he whispered urgently to Mehek to escort Anjali out. Mehek stepped forward with folded hands, pleading with Anjali to leave, saying she was welcome as Aarti’s mother but not as a lawyer. Before Anjali could respond, Gaurav interjected, saying Anjali would not leave—because she was a true devotee of justice who never turned away from truth.
Pankaj then announced in a firm voice that the engagement could not proceed under law. Ganesh retorted angrily that if the event was stopped, Anjali would see him dead. Anjali, unmoved, said no threat could silence her. Aarti, hurt and furious, accused her mother of caring only for the law, not for her happiness. With tears in her eyes, she declared that from now on, Anjali was her enemy, not her parent.
As emotions peaked, the Rajput family demanded that Anjali and the police leave immediately. But Pankaj stood his ground, revealing that their presence wasn’t just about the engagement—they were there to find Aman’s murderer. Anjali then revealed the crucial truth: Ravi had been the driver responsible for the accident that had taken Aman’s life and left her severely injured 21 years ago. He was now present to identify the man who had paid him to commit the crime.
Raghav, furious yet cautious, asked if they had a warrant. Pankaj confirmed that they did. All eyes turned to Ravi as the constable nudged him forward. Trembling, he scanned the room, his eyes darting nervously. In one corner, Yuvraj tried to stay hidden, his heartbeat racing, terrified that the truth he had buried decades ago was about to see daylight.
