The television show Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii which started with a band is now slated to go off-air on March 7. The show was premiered on December 6 and is wrapping up after just three months. The show was featuring Additi Gupta, Rohit Purohit, and Vidyut Xavier.
Additi, who has wrapped up her shoot talked about it in a recent interview with BT and shared, “It was a beautiful journey and I am glad that I bagged this project. It was great donning the role of a doctor and I loved Deepika’s journey on the show. It takes guts to do something different on television and I am happy that Nilanjana (Purkayasstha) and Herumb (Khot) thought of something different for TV audiences.”
Admitting that the show was slow to warm up with Indian audiences. Additi says, “There are many factors that work in favor of a TV show. While I received great feedback from people abroad, who watched the show, I do accept that Indian TV audiences gave a slow response to it. I feel the time slot did not work in favor of the show because many people felt it was a bit late for them to watch a one-hour show at 10 pm. But I feel the show had great content. Actually, I don’t understand why the audiences do not want to move away from regular social dramas and watch a different show. It’s a women-centric medium and women love watching typical social dramas.”
Additi who is optimistic about the future and ready for another project concluded by saying, “If you do a regular daily soap, wearing heavy saris and jewelry the entire day, you do feel like taking a break. Dhadkan was quite easy, so I am not looking for a long break. Also, just because I did a medical drama, it does not mean I want to stay away from daily soaps. I am open to anything. Currently, I am holidaying for a few days in Dubai, after working non-stop in Naigaon and living alone. But, I look forward to something interesting and will be back in Mumbai soon.”

Dhadkan Zindagi ki. Wow! What a beautiful series. Even though the show may have been late to watch for Indian audiences, it was just the right slot for USA audiences. I am very sad to see this go off air. Very well made. I do encourage makers of any series to make it short, but memorable and sweet. Aditi Gupta should get an award. She acted so naturally and played the role of Dr. Sinha so well. I hope more makers will learn from this series. I am so tired of watching the ones which don’t make sense like Bade Ache Lagte hae. All the best to the crew of Dhadkan…i was a big fan.

A big big fan of the serial Dhadkan——–. Sad tht it will go off air but like all things mut come to an end – the show tooo hs to come to an end. The serial was a relief from the usual daily soap- it was different and more relatable. A break from the usual family drama- this was pure joy to watch. The Dr Sinha character, the Dr Abhay sathe, Dr Piroz, Dr Sia, Dr Ansari all so wel potrayed n relatable and somewhere or the other in daily lives can see the characters too. All the best to the team of Dhadkan——-the character of Dr Abhay and Dr Sinha is the most lovable one

True that. Did not like the Last few episodes after Vikrant’s exit . All of the 3 best guys were not there , Vikrant, Abhay and Wasim.
Best serial I have seen ever.
I absolutely loved Dhadkan Zindagi Kii, it was a fresh breeze in this daily soap era of India. Surprisingly my dad who watches very less tv shows and that to only comedy serial, gave a try to this show and guess what he actually liked it. He was said that we need these type of shows, he got reminded of old shows that he used to watch which had less episodes and a great storyline. I don’t know about the Indian audience but we have watched it from UAE and we have loved it. I am sad that the show is ending but that itself was the best part of the show that it had limited number episodes and nothing was dragged too much. All the actors and actresses along with the whole Dhadkan team did a very phenomenal job. I wish to get to see more serials that have limited number of episodes and a good storyline.
Dhadkan Zindagi Ki was a very different type of serial and at the same time entertaining and thought provoking bringing out the life of doctors in hospitals and how they have to juggle between personal life and hospital jobs. I truly enjoyed the episodes and wish many more off beat serials like this are released. I am sure this serial would have even more interesting for Doctors and persons associated with hospital activities.
I wish the comments here reach the dhadkan team. It’s was phenomenal. Each character grew and shaped up as the story progresses further. It was a complete journey for all. Even the sets and settings got more detailed. Yes, a fixed episodes with fast moving story line was one important factor to make enjoyable and avoids repeatition of any concept. The pace of the pace helped grip the audience.
I wish more of such content is available for TV audience.
If we want a progressive society we need to invest entertainment time in building positive thinking and thats what Dhadkan did flawlessly. 5 starts team Dhadkan you rock!!!

I fail to understand how a path breaking serial like dhadkan is alloted a late Show time and a senseless serial like Bade Ache Lagte Hain is given prime time. Dhadkan teaches progressive ideas and the Ekta Kapoor serial is full of people with regressive ideas. I only watch Sony serials because they have different storylines and limited episodes. Please don’t allow Ekta Kapoor to spoil that.
This was the first ever soap that my doctor mother watched. She got so attached with the show and the characters that I was shocked to see her being so excited about something zother than saving loves of her patients. it’s a pity our audiences would rather watch saas bahu BS and I feel so bad for my mom. Dhadkan is the best, I love dr sinha , dr vikrant, dr abhay and dr ansari am gonna missed the show. The serial is superb I watched it all the way from Nigeria. Dhadkan cast and crew we need season 2 with less episodes also.

D Z K, moved by the show, dipika your gesture sometimes looks a bit extra but moved by the stress period portrayed by vikrant and you is marvelous and triggered by aditi, and to say it all it is a marvelously conceived plot and time is all right you need like minded people to understand every bit of it, it is the case with every workohalic but in the end i was with Wasim and lost bet with my wife, dipika don’t do any normal serial we need you and the whole cast

I love Dhadkan serial. Very interesting and unique content on TV.. It’s not a regular show type.. After watching this I somehow try to connect with doctors emotions what pressure must they have also going through and also hectic time management. Aditi and all the actors are rock. Zindagi Dhadkan..superrrr show..it was something to look forward every day..now sad.Goung to miss them a lot..All the artists need a pat on their back..loved Aditi..Vikrant.. Very nice serial, different from the drama and illogical stories with heavy makeup and Jewelry. I am going to miss it. I too like the new serial ‘Jagannath and Purvi ki dosti’ of Sony TV

Awesome show unlike same SaaS bahu and big fat family daily soaps. Emotions are narrated really well. Hoping that we will have a season 2 coming our way really soon. Every character be it Deepika, PC, Abhay, SIA, Nikhil all are so well defined

I liked and enjoyed dharkhan serials though it was a little bit late at 10pm in London but I am sad to know that the serial is going off the air. This serial is different from normal soap serial. It is thought-provoking. Aditti Gupta played the role of Dr Sinha very well and she deserves award. All the best to the team of Dharkhan. Dr Sinha and Dr Abhoy did a phenomenal job. I wish them well.
Dhadkan is an amazing show. A woman breaking off wedding and saying no to a man coz he doesn’t understand her freedom of choice and saying this, “There’s always love, but that’s not what’s important, respect for each other and their choices”. Dhadkan showed that when there’s no dignity in a relationship, it is soulless.
It is a very valid show representing today’s women. It is thoughtful, entertaining and cute as well. It had a balance of characters and it addressed stereotypes and modern day millennial issues as well. It was teeny tiny bits of cringe and lots of meaningful content.
I’ll miss watching something hatke, hereon.
Loved show in California. One hour used to go so fast . Aditi was great so was rest of cast . Will miss it . See it on line again 🙂

The best serial I have seen ever .Additi Gupta deserves a big round of applause .It was a big relation to watch this serial…Hats off to the whole crew .Hope to see more of such serials ..Kudos to other characters of the serial too.
I am disappointed the know the show is off the air. One of the best so far, better than the heavy Sari and jewelery clad cast of some past shows and latest ones where women do nothing else except plot revenge ( Bade achhe Lagte hain) .

I’m so disappointed about ending Dadkhan Zindagi kii serial. I enjoyed every episode and every character too. Really miss it. Hope they can continue with another season. Timing is not a issue please.
