Actress Mamta Luthra is a very well known and established actress of the television industry and was last seen in the show ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’. The actress will now be seen in the show ‘Qurbaan Hua’ as the grandmother of Pratibha Ranta who is playing the role of Dr Chahat Baig Dhyani in the show.
In Qurbaan Hua, she will be essaying a strong woman who lives in Dubai and comes down to India to meet her family. Its been four days that Mamta has been shooting with the team and she is happy that she got such a wonderful role to start her 2021 with.
After her show ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ come to an end last year in January, she took a break and now she will be making a comeback to TV again. Talking about the same to TOI, she said “After I wrapped up the show, the pandemic hit us and everything came to a standstill for the entertainment industry too. Keeping in mind my age too, it took me some time to mentally prepare myself to start working again in this kind of environment. Offers were coming in but I wanted to do something with a strong base and in ‘Qurbaan Hua’ I got it and thus said yes.”
Over the years Mamta has been seen doing a variety of roles and she personally enjoys doing different roles which gives her space to exercise her acting skills. “I mostly get roles which are dominating and negative in nature. I have done positive roles too and there is nothing I call as my type of person or something I prefer doing. It is a new challenge every time and I thrive on it. But in real life I am a happy-go-lucky person who lives life to the fullest,” adds Mamta.
