Dil Diyaan Gallaan actor Vineet Raina recently exchanged vows with Apeksha Raina, a nurse from Jammu, in a traditional wedding ceremony steeped in Kashmiri rituals on November 27. The actor, emphasizing his desire for authenticity, chose their hometown of Jammu to ensure each ritual was carried out in its truest form. He plans to host a reception for industry colleagues in Mumbai the following month, followed by a honeymoon, possibly in Australia.
Their love story unfolded during the pandemic, blossoming from friendship into a deep relationship. Vineet shares, “We were introduced by a mutual friend in Jammu about eight months before the pandemic struck. Over time, our friendship evolved into a relationship, and we grew extremely fond of each other. I always desired a family, and I felt Apeksha was the right life partner for me.”
Reflecting on his past marriage, Vineet candidly shares, “Honestly, I don’t consider it a marriage because it didn’t last for even a year. The bond and love couldn’t develop. It was a decision made hastily and much against everyone’s wishes. I am grateful that I realized it wouldn’t work in a short time.” He explains that the experience didn’t weigh heavily on him as it was brief and swiftly became apparent that it wasn’t meant to be.
Vineet expresses his newfound happiness with Apeksha, highlighting the depth of their connection. “This is the first time I am deeply in love with someone, and that’s Apeksha. This relationship hasn’t been hasty and has grown stronger with time. It’s a match made in heaven. We share similar likes, dislikes, and temperaments,” he adds, emphasizing the solidity and depth of their relationship.
