Actor Pankit Thakker, who rose to fame with his role as Deep Malhotra in the show ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai’, has been roped in to essay a pivotal role in the upcoming show ‘Janam Janam Ka Saath’.

The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “I am playing the character of Kunwar Sa, the only man in the household who knows the past. He can interpret the past, and can predict the future events based on past incidents. He also helps the other characters of the story to complete their past karma. The role I am playing is very powerful and a central character. I am humbled and happy to be a part of this show.”

Pankit is super excited about reuniting with the production house as he has worked with them for, ‘Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha’. He added, “The production house is like my extended family, and both Sonali and Amir jaffar have always given me roles that take me out of my comfort zone. I always wanted to be a part of a concept that is rooted in Indian culture which deals with regional folklore and rituals.”

Talking further about the show he continued, “This story is deeply rooted in the culture of Rajasthan. I believe ‘more regional is more universal’ and aptly the makers have understood this feeling. The culture in the region like weddings, religious ceremonies and the palatial home, sand dunes, paintings and the murals that have a recurrent theme of a man astride a camel portraying Rajasthan’s most popular romantic fictional tale. It has several interesting references on Rajasthani lifestyle, musical instruments, festivals, jewellery, miniature paintings, handicrafts, forts, palaces, bridal costumes and artworks in stone, wood and marble. The entire presentation and packaging of the story with these elements join to form a rich, vibrant and nostalgic feel which the audiences will be hooked on to from the very first episode. I have full faith in this concept and I am sure this is going to be a pathbreaking show for Indian Television.”

Pankit Thakker is known for his role in shows like ‘Dill Mill Gayye‘, ‘Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’, and ‘Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii’ among others.
