Actor Angad Hasija makes a comeback after four years with “Ziddi Dil Maane Na”

Actor Angad Hasija who is known for his role in Waaris is making a comeback on the small screen after a gap of almost four years with Ziddi Dil Maane Na.

The actor talked about it in a recent interview with BT and shared, “I play a village boy in ZDMN and will be seen in a rugged and rough look. I played something similar years ago in Phulwa and wanted to attempt it again for quite some time. I will be paired opposite Sanjana Dubey (Diljot Chhabra) in the show.”

He adds, “I have worked non-stop on Hindi TV for 13 years. The desire to explore newer characters prompted me to turn my attention towards other mediums. I love TV and it has given me a lot. People still recognize me for the characters I have played in daily soaps. However, lately, I was being offered similar characters. I can never abandon the medium, but I had to take a break as I felt saturated as an actor.”

Talking about his hiatus of four years, Angad shares, “OTT platforms are coming up with some interesting content and I enjoyed being a part of them. After the first wave of the pandemic, I decided to go back to my hometown, Chandigarh, with my family. I was offered a Punjabi show at that time and decided to take it up. I am a Punjabi munda and it seemed like a good opportunity to do something in my mother tongue. I moved to Mumbai in 2005 when I was 19 and would mostly speak in Hindi at home. So, I hired a tutor to teach me chaste Punjabi and learned the regional dance forms. I am glad that the show was received well and so was my character. However, now that I am back on Hindi TV, you will see more of me now.”
