Her tears were getting mixed with the rain water while her face looked miserable. Walking alone on the stranded road, she took tiny steps to reach her destination. Destination? Did she have any? Her only destination was him but now even he had left her! Left her alone in this small world which was big enough for her, Left her alone to live life, Left her alone to fulfill her dreams when they had planned to achieve them together. How could he be so cruel? How could he cheat on her? How could he betray her in return for her love?
She(cry): Is life all about betrayal?
She fell down on the road on her knees and cried, cried her heart out but there was no one to listen to her screams, her cries, her stories. If only he had stated before that he doesn’t want to be with her, she would have willingly left him but cheating on her was not an option, it was a choice which he shouldn’t have chosen.
She stood up, weakly and walked to his house, still being drenched, if only the rainwater could wash over her sorrows too but that wasn’t true. Taking small steps and reliving the sight in front of her, she walked to his house but masked her emotions and carried a straight face instead. She rang the doorbell with a heavy heart, she wanted to see him and speak to him but also not wanted to see him. Where did she stand now? After continuous ringing, the door opened. There he stood in front of her, half asleep and shirtless. Well, atleast he’s half asleep after snatching her sleep completely.
He: Riddhima, how come you are here?
His question surprised her. Had he really not noticed how miserable and helpless she’s looking right now.
Riddhima: Let’s just end things between us Vansh!
She spoke straightly and it surprised him, what was she exactly talking about.
Riddhima: I realised that WE are PolesApart and can never get one. I think we should call off this marriage.
Her words just shocked him to the core and he didn’t realise that she had left. What was wrong with her? Why was she saying that?
“Baby….Come to me!” came the voice from inside the room.
“Coming Ahana!” he spoke as he took the phone and made a call and walked in towards Ahana who was lying down on bed, covered with a duvet, waiting for him.
Meanwhile,
Riddhima successfully reached her house and locked the door from inside. How had her life turned! She wanted a simple life with him but instead got cheated from him. She still remembers the day their Friendship turned into a love story.
Being friends for so many years, they had their special places to meet. Just the two of them and no one else along with them. Today too, he had called her and asked her to come at 08:00pm, their usual time. She reached there but that place seemed unusual to her, it was the same place but was decorated like a date set-up with hearts, balloons, lamps and roses. She stood there besides the table and her eyes fell on a note written “TURN AROUND!” She did so and saw him on his knees with a rose. She wondered if whatever she’s thinking is about to come true.
Vansh: I wonder how many days and nights, I have wasted but I don’t want to waste them anymore. I want to live a life with you, grow old with you. So many years of friendship, I got to see a new shade of you everytime. The happy you, the sad you, the cranky you, the foodie you, I just want to see YOU! But I no longer can see you as a friend but more than that. You own a special place in my heart which none other can. You were there besides me when I wanted you, you stood besides me in my weak moments and helped me become stronger. This place has all our memories captured, it’s not just a witness of our friendship but also our love. Yes Riddhima, I fell in love with you, hardly, deeply, madly, just YOU! Today, Tomorrow and Everyday, I can proudly say that I LOVE YOU!
Tears appeared in Riddhima’s eyes on hearing his confession which she always wanted to listen. She felt on cloud nine but on seeing her tears, he feared that she might have got hurt and would reject him. He feared rejection from her but there was something more that he feared, it was losing her. What if she distances herself from him? He would die, die every single day without seeing her. His thoughts were interrupted when she too levelled herself to him and held the same rose.
Riddhima: How long have I waited to hear these words from you! I am on cloud nine. You have always been special to me, ever since we met in college, You have always been there besides me when I thought I had no one. When I was about to fall you held my hand and made me realise that I can succeed in life no matter what. But I can succeed when you are there besides me. And this place, this place has all our memories stored. We cried, smiled, laughed, fell, stood and most importantly confessed. I love Vansh! With all my mind, heart and soul, I fell for you. The whole of me fell for the whole of you. I love you!
With tears appearing in his eyes, if only he knew that she felt the same, he would have confessed long back the day we realised he has feelings for her. They waited for the other to confess but today, he had to give up and take the initiative and he is glad that he did it. He found her. He found himself in her.
Together, they held the rose and joined their foreheads.
Vansh/Riddhima(tears): We are Made for each other!
own on the floor. She recalled their confession. How happy were they! But today, everything is destroyed. As she was driving in Vansh’s thoughts, her phone rang. She immediately rejected the call, why would he want to talk to her now? She did what he was about to do, call off their marriage just two days before their engagement. For them initially, it seemed like a Cute love story but his cheat made it into a horrible one. It seemed like a Fairy tale love story but then his prince turned into a beast. Still he had the guts to call and talk sweetly to her, imagining that she would forgive him. Not even in her wildest dreams would she forgive him. All the Love, Emotions and Relations, which she shared with him are dead for her. Again her phone rang and again the Call went unanswered. How could she forgive him?
Riddhima was sitting in her house, excited for her engagement within two days. She was sitting and looking at her engagement dress but was missing him. She called him.
Riddhima(on call): Hi Vansh! Where are you?
Vansh(on call): I’m at home, why?
Riddhima(on call): Nothing! Just!
She smilingly hung the call and changed into something simple yet pretty. She walked to his mansion which wasn’t very far. The main door was open so she walked in. She walked into his room but didn’t find him. Strangely, she heard noises from another room. She walked there and peeped in through the door and the sight sent chills down her spine. She saw him kissing Ahana, one of his friends, passionately. He threw her on bed and was hovering upon her. She hated the sight in front of her and walked away from there, controlling her tears.
Riddhima: Destiny has it! It has its own plan to reveal the truth to others. No matter how much it hurts!
Her doorbell rang, washing her face she went to open the door. There he stood, in front of her, with a tensed face. She should praise his acting skills. How easily can he even change the situation, but not this time, this time she wouldn’t let it happen.
Riddhima: What do you want, Vansh?
Riddhima asked coldly, she tried to not cry but she could sense herself getting weak.
Vansh: Riddhima, what happened? Why did you call off the marriage?
How can he just be like nothing happened? Where was he when she had declared it on his face. He’s coming now, ofcourse after completing his work with Ahana.
Riddhima: You should know better!
She answered, he standing in front of her was weakening her.
Vansh: Riddhima, there has to be some reason.
He asked carrying the same tense tone.
Riddhima: Love is all about trust, Vansh! You broke my trust.
She answered and then broke in tears. How hard had she tried to control herself. He too cried on seeing her condition.
Vansh: What are you saying Riddhima?
He asked while holding her arms. She started hitting on his chest while she answered with tears dropping down.
Riddhima: You slept with Ahana. You slept with her just two days before our engagement.
Her reply shocked him. She was accusing him for cheating on her which he would never do, not even in his wildest dreams. If he had to choose between death and cheating, he would choose death. He held her hand and told her.
Vansh: It wasn’t me Riddhima.
On the marriage day,
Riddhima was sitting in the pavilion beside Vansh. As the priest kept on chanting the prayers, they looked at each other, fulfilling each vow and a promise of always trusting each other, no matter what happens. Vansh filled the vermillion on her partition and tied the nuptial chain around her neck, the priest declared them as husband and wife. The smiles on their faces weren’t disappearing, they were officially one!
In RIANSH’s room,
Vansh entered the room with Riddhima in his arms, she locked the door. And they headed to bed, he gently placed her on bed and sat beside her. He looked at her intensely, while she blushed under his gaze.
Vansh: OMG! I am your husband, not boyfriend, Stop blushing! You would drive me crazy.
He whispered in her ears while she encircled her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
Riddhima: I would love to make you crazy!
In a moment, their lips moved together as one, initially it was slow but with time, it became more passionate and demanding. Their tongues slid in and were exploring their mouths, showing dominance. Vansh later left her lips but not her skin, he gave kisses over her neck and bit her.
Riddhima: Vansh……
Next morning,
Vansh opened his eyes and saw his love, lying over his chest. He knew one thing, that he would always have her. She would trust him, always. His mind recalled the incident that took place a few days back.
Vansh: It wasn’t me Riddhima.
She stood still, trying to understand about her surroundings.
Vansh: Wait a minute…
He took his phone out and messaged someone. Later, a man entered along with Ahana, and this surprised Riddhima.
Vansh: Riddhima, the one whom you saw was Vihaan. Didn’t I tell you that I have a twin brother?
Riddhima was still looking at Vihaan.
Riddhima: I knew, but why the hell has he grown a beard, y’all look the same. Moreover, you told me that you were at home.
Vansh let out a heavy breath.
Vansh: I was in a meeting, I lied. I thought if I tell that I’m in a meeting then you would say that I’m working even two days before our engagement.
Riddhima looked at Vansh.
Riddhima(tears): I am sorry Vansh! I clearly forgot that you have a twin brother and he was also about to come. I don’t know why I thought that you could cheat on me. I’m so stupid Vansh.
Vansh pulled Riddhima closer to him, her head on his chest, he patted her back.
Vansh: It’s okay Riddhima! And remember, I love you and only you! Never think this!
Riddhima nodded and he kissed her forehead.
Riddhima: I love you too!
Their love, it’s love beyond limits!
Vihaan: Love, it’s a game of hearts!
Vansh and Riddhima pulled back.
Vansh: I agree! But you have big talks!
Vihaan and Ahana smiled and left.
Riddhima:: I am sorry Vansh! I promise to never doubt you!
Riddhima said looking into his eyes.
Vansh: Let’s just get rid of it! Okay? You need to eat something! You cried so much, you look miserable. I don’t like it! I want you glowing!
Riddhima smiled and kissed his cheeks.
Riddhima: Good Morning Jaan!
Riddhima said, interrupting his thoughts and he smiled looking at her and kissed her forehead.
Vansh: Good Morning Sweetheart!
He said, smilingly while she just looked into his eyes.
Vansh: BTW, did you get confused with Vihaan and me again?
Riddhima hit his chest.
Riddhima: No Vansh! He shaved his beard!
Riddhima said laughing, while Vansh pulled her closer to himself. They finally had a life, A life with soulmate..
