Rudra was nervous, that would be an understatement, for he had decided to break the news of his relationship with Soumya before the elders. Soumya had talked sense when she had said she wanted to be clear and honest about their relationship, so the elders don’t feel cheated on knowing it from someone else and start their blame- game, or either of them go through the accusations like Shivaay.
Om’s eyes met a welcome sight after his dreary day, to see his mother at the table, talking to his daadi and chhoti maa. Her laughter sounded in the hall like tinkling of bells, happy, cheerful, carefree, like it did when he was a kid. It was On who was the most worried about his mother’s constant disappearance but the better reaction and state of Jhanvi calmed his nerves and all his worries. “Om!” she crossed the room in happy strides and hugged him tightly, ” baccha, you’re back. Jao jaakar muhh- haath dho lo, dinner is about to get laid” she said, caressing his face. “Abhi aaya maa” he said and went upstairs, feeling much better already.
Anika felt strange to see Shivaay in the room before dinner, as she combed her hair and looked presentable for the dinner table. It was almost an unspoken agreement between them, not to be there while the other dressed or groomed but Anika felt his eyes follow her every movement. Irritated by Shivaay’s actions, unable to take it any longer, she spoke up ” Kya tarr rahein hain mujhe Billuji?” and froze. It was a year since she had referred to him as Billuji, used her tapori language on him.
” I’m here to ask the most beautiful lady, if she would grace me to the dinner tonight?” Shivaay felt ecastic, his Anika was slowly coming back to life and chuckled at her reaction as he caught the sound of ‘O teri’ at his gesture.
