Prolouge

The sound of rain drops echoed around the mansion. It was the month of July so it was a common sight in Mumbai. In the stillness of late afternoon, a heart raged as the tears collected in his deep brown eyes.
Another day ,alone. His head rested on the so-familiar table looking outside watching the raindrops as they crashed against the window-sill of his own personal gallery. His brother was out with his hate-love partner; his lips smiled as he thought about them. His younger brother & sister were having a fest at their college so were preparing for it. On usual days, he welcomed this kind of solitude but today he felt lonely; something his therapist had advised him to avoid.

His only source of motherly affection- his dadi had taken ill all of a sudden that morning & was at the hospital; he was worried, scared. He was intimidated by the fact that the fragile lady can leave them any time. He shuddered at the mere thought of it, his fear almost overwhelmed him. Hastily, dazed, he picked up the bottle of his prescribed medicine kept near the table & swallowed one, taking a huge gulp of water. He walked restlessly through the length of the room trying to calm himself. Emotionally over-whelmed , he sat huddled by the window sill as his tears rolled down
