Anurag and Prerna are spending time near the pool.
Prerna: You have got my anklet.
Anurag: Yes, I had taken it so I could always see your face thinking about you.
Prerna: I think it shouldn’t be hard for us to become one as everyone knows that we love each other.
Anurag: I hope that our parents will agree to this relationship.
Meanwhile, Nivedita & other ladies poison Devi’s mind saying, “Prerna won’t fit in our family as she has no class. They supply girls to rich families and are gold diggers. They are taking advantage of our Anurag’s innocence.”
Tej changes his mind and decides not to get Anurag married to Prerna, while Devi thinks of a plan to humiliate Mohini. Anurag and Prerna are still spending time at the park.

On the other hand, Devi and Mohini are discussing their children’s relationship.

Mohini goes home happily. Anurag & Prerna, too, take leave. At home, Prerna is dreaming about Anurag. Mohini comes in & said, “Devi is going to announce your engagement tomorrow.”
Prerna: I’m excited about it, but at the same time, I am nervous as well. They have a high status & I hope they have not asked for dowry from you.
Mohini: No, all they want is to see my dance. Your happiness is more important to me.
The next day, Devi announces Anurag-Prerna’s engagement & sends an invitation to come to their house. Mohini and Prerna come to their place.

Anurag takes out Prerna’s anklet & kisses her foot while Prerna pours water on him. Tej is looking at Mohini’s dance from upstairs. Anurag & Prerna are still spending time in the park.

Everyone looks at Mohini. Devi comes & stops her. She said, “Ladies & gentlemen, before announcing the engagement, I would like to introduce my would-be samdhan to all. She is an outstanding artist & a dancer. Though they are poor, they are very good at heart. My son & her daughter are childhood friends. Both mother & daughter are aspiring to become a millionaire overnight, taking advantage of our hospitability. But she has forgotten one thing. A tenant can never join in a zamindar family.”
Mohini: Devi, be within your limits. So, what if we are poor & don’t belong to your level. We are self-respected persons. We are capable enough to take care of our needs & don’t take dowry. But you people take dowry & get the girl & money. But we lose both. After this incident, I would refuse to give my girl to you. I have a heart & my girl’s happiness is most important to me. That is the most incredible wealth I have, but you are heartless. Your class & status is more important to you than your son. If I don’t get my girl married to a person more affluent than you, my name is not Mohini.
She breaks the relationship & leaves. Anurag & Prerna goes home too. Anurag learns that Mohini has been humiliated before the public & asks Devi, “What happened? Why have you rejected the proposal all of a sudden?”
Tej: They don’t belong to our level. Prerna cannot become the DIL of our family.
Anurag: I love her & will marry only her.
Tej: Nothing doing. My decision is final.
Meanwhile, Prerna asks Mohini, “I hope you have fixed our engagement.”
Mohini: No, that family is not suitable for you. They have insulted us. Forget Anurag. I will get you married to a family more prosperous than them.
Anurag is awake. Prerna gets up in the middle of the night & meets Anurag.

Loved the story. I think the story is inspired from Devdas, right? Whatever it is, the casting is fabulous alongside the story. Love❤
