The voice of Cheeru diminishes. Aarti thinks he must he asleep and turns to leave. Cheeru tells her to keep narrating the story. Aarti continues in obedience. Her story had the lesson of loving siblings equally.
There, Maatangi was busy performing rituals and prays for protection of Chaitra.
It was all dark. Ashok wonders where Aarti has gone so late. He thinks about temple room, but then goes to Chaitra’s room.
Aarti continued the story of Lakshman protecting his brother, with lesson of protecting their sisters as well.
Ashok checks in Chaitra’s room. He wonders where she must have gone. The lights were back on. Ashok was relieved.
Ragini had come outside the house. She decided to play a game which will terrify Ashok. He won’t ever again say no to her. Ashok gets a message from Ragini that she is outside the house, open the door for her. Ashok was furious and wonders what he must do. Ragini threatens to ring the bell if he does not open the door. Ashok was mad at Ragini. She writes she is ringing the bell. Before Ragini could press the button, the door swung opened on its own. Ragini was afraid.
Aarti speaks to Cheeru but he did not reply. Aarti touches the surface of idol from which Cheeru spoke. She cries she can’t even see him sleep or make him sleep in her lap. She leaves the room.
In her own room, Ashok was missing. Aarti wonders what she will say to Ashok, he must be looking for her. She hurries downstairs. Ragini comes to the room and was at once afraid to see Kriparker. Kriparker holds her hand and drags her outside. Ashok follows. Kriparker shouts at Ragini why she reached here without informing him. Ragini says she can not bear whenever Ashok insults him. Kriparker tells Ragini that their game must have ended today, Bhavani had decided to leave the house today. He is happy that Bhavani finally agreed to stay back. Ashok heard the conversation from the window. Aarti comes behind Ashok who was terrified by her touch. Kriparker turned towards Ashok. Aarti asks Ashok what he is doing here. Aarti says she was nowhere, but why Ashok looks so startled. Aarti looks outside where Kriparker stood alone. Ashok says he was about to check what Kriparker is doing outside, all alone. There Kriparker wonders what if Ashok heard their conversation. Ashok sends Aarti inside. Kriparker comes inside. Ashok asks Kriparker what he was doing with Ragini. Kriparker thinks their game has ended. Ashok thanks Kriparker for helping him. Kriparker suggests Ashok not to keep enmity with a woman; he must lend her what she needs and make her go. Otherwise, she might cost him his family.
In the morning, Chaitra wakes up when the blanket over her flies. It was Maatangi. Chaitra asks Maatangi to take her name, she would have woken up. Maatangi asks Chaitra to get ready, Guru ji must be home anytime. Chaitra was upset that her mummy does not love her anymore, she is always angry with her. Chaitra says she loves Cheeru, mummy and papa a lot. She can not share her love with anyone here, nor even her fears. She cries. Maatangi wipes her tears. She tells Chaitra a lot has been happening in the family, that is why her mummy is tensed. Chaitra cries that Cheeru should not have left them. Maatangi hugs Chaitra and prays for protection of this minor girl Chaitra.
Aarti impatiently waits for Chaitra. Maatangi comes downstairs. Aarti asks Maatangi if Chaitra is awake and getting ready. Maatangi nods. Aarti curses herself for being unlucky, she is unable to love her children. When Cheeru was alive, she could not love him. And now she cannot love Chaitra. But she wants Cheeru to get rid of his hatred for Chaitra.
Chaitra meets Aarti on the stairs. She asks how she looks. Aarti was angry that she has to send someone to wake Chaitra up every day. Chaitra asks Aarti why she avoids her and does not love her anymore. Aarti looks around cautiously, she says she can not stay with Chaitra all the time. Chaitra requests Aarti not to scold her pointlessly and love her, otherwise she will not be able to survive. Aarti wipes her tears. She tells Chaitra to learn and do all her work herself. Ashok comes to question why so, why these restrictions and change all at once. Her mood has changed all together. Ashok tells Aarti to go and help Chaitra with breakfast. Aarti says she knows how to do breakfast and runs upstairs.
Maatangi takes Chaitra to the temple corner. She asks Chaitra to stay here for a while. She takes an amulet from the box from temple. She prays to God that she put in a lot of effort to prepare this amulet, God must fill the amulet with power to protect Chaitra. She requests to make Chaitra wear this, as this will protect Chaitra.
Cheeru appeared in Aarti’s room. The chair rocked, curtains flew and there was Cheeru’s laughter all around. Maatangi tells Chaitra not to be afraid of anything. She will be protected. A jar comes flying towards Maatangi and hits her arm, the amulet flies in the air.
PRECAP: Maatangi was attacked by Cheeru. in Chaitra’s room, objects fly in the air. Chaitra was afraid and requests Cheeru not to harm her.
