Aashiqui-A Story Of Eternal Love (Shot 5)

Shot 5!!! This is not short I guess but you decide. So full freedom to criticise. I want to end this story before April starts. Hope I do. Anyways you’ll read.Do answer my questions in the end. Till then take care.

As the song came to an end, Radhika distanced herself from Sameer at once. He escorted her out of the dance area.

She felt suddenly exposed to all those hungry werewolves sitting by the bar and drinking throughout the party. They stared at her as if she was a piece of meat which they wanted to savage. She averted her gaze away from them. Now she really regretted wearing this dress. But what’s done is done.

Sameer felt her in daze as if she was thinking deeply about something. He waved his hand in front of her eyes to gain her attention.

He touched her shoulder and queried, ” Are you fine?!”

She blinked her eyes in assurance, ” Yah just a bit tired.”

He spoke in a concerned tone,” Oh why didn’t you tell me before?! Let’s go home if you are not feeling well.”

She shook her head,” Oh No I am fine actually I don’t know how to say this.”

He spoke in a encouraging tone,” You can tell me anything. I might not be Sam but I am her twin.” He then laughed at his own joke.

Radhika chucked,” Wow what a unique reason you gave me. So you do all things that Sam does just because you both are twins?!”

His lips curved into a smile,” No not really. I don’t use that F word very often like her. I don’t snore like she does. I don’t sleep like a hog on evenings. I don’t kick people in my sleep. I don’t do strange experiments on my hair like her. I don’t be her big brother because she is actually very much interested in that big brother role. There are many more things which only Sam does like kicking my ass when we have a fight.”

Radhika giggled placing her hand on her mouth,” Oh God I can’t hear more. I have seen both of you fighting daily. I tell you both of you are worst than India and Pakistan.”

He smiled delightfully,” Phew….At last I got that smile of yours after so many efforts. Anything for that smile.”

She couldn’t help but thank God for giving her such good hearted people. She couldn’t thank him enough for all that he did for in those two months. There were times were when she wasn’t a bit confident about her work and felt it was like climbing the everest. But he was always there for her pushing her to do her best and always suggested her new projects for her career. His mere presence made her believe in herself. He was her boss but he didn’t behave like one. He maintained a friendly healthy atmosphere in their office because Sam was hell strict and she made sure there was strict observance of all the rules and regulations of the office. If Sam was fire then he had the tendency of ice and both maintained a exception balance.

She couldn’t help but compare Sameer with Arjun. One was short tempered but blessed with high brainy aptitude. Other was the coolest person she had ever known. He had a god gifted talent of adjusting to his environment with ease which Arjun lacked. Arjun hated compromise and he didn’t adjust at all. He simply worked for perfection. He hated the word nice as he saw it as a small line between the good and worst. But Sameer thought that nice was the first step to work a way to the best. He didn’t pressurize his employees with harsh heartless words like Arjun did when he wasn’t satisfied with their work. But however shortcomings he might have inside him She can’t deny the fact that he owned her heart. What to do?! She had lost her hopeless heart to that cold hearted maniac who cared less about her but Heart wants what it wants. She pushed Arjun’s thoughts in the back of her mind.

Sameer felt her lost in her thoughts again. She looked so beautiful with that thoughtful expression written all over her face. He wondered if she ever thought about him. No why would she?! Her devil of a husband ruled her heart, mind, body and soul. He didn’t hated Arjun because what he desired to have belonged to him. He hated him for all the misbehaviour he showed towards Radhika. How could anyone bring himself to hurt her after seeing her round brown twinkling orbs freighted with pure innocence. They could even melt the stone with just one tearful hurt glance. He couldn’t help but feel jealous of Arjun. He had a priceless rare pearl and with all due respect to his own bad luck he didn’t value it.

He shook her gently and She came out of her daze state.

Radhika smiled,” Thanks Sameer. I had a lovely evening. And all credit goes to you.”

Sameer pulled her cheeks and replied,” Radhika don’t be so formal. I had great time too. And I actually wanted to tell you something. So if you don’t mind can we step out of the party?!”

Her eyes wandered around,” Now?!”

He nodded,” Only if you don’t mind. ”

She trusted him with all her heart. He was a gentleman and last but not the least he was Sam’s brother.

She replied,”Yah we can I don’t mind.”

He couldn’t help but feel delighted that she trusted him enough to step out of the party with him. He thanked God million times in his heart for she found him worthy enough of her friendship without a shadow of doubt within her heart.

He questioned, ” You trust me right?!”

She smiled,” Yes I do.”

They walked out of the party venue. Sameer felt glorious pleasure as they watched the stars together. Her eyes sparkled like pearls and the stars up there were no comparison to her beautiful eyes. She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness.

Beautiful would be understatement, Breathtaking would describe her more perfectly. He was trying hard to say it but words were not coming out. He had made up his mind to say it today. He just didn’t wanted to live with a heart wrenching regret that why he couldn’t confess his feelings for once to the first girl who touched his heart. Somewhere even he knew that her answer will be a No. But he had to say it or else he couldn’t live without saying it.

She whispered, ” I love watching stars. What about you?!”

He thought to himself, ” Have you ever seen yourself in a mirror?! You are far more beautiful than those stars in the sky.”

He replied in a hesitant tone,” Radhika I want to tell you something. ”

She turned her head towards him and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and curiosity. Why was he talking as if disclosing some mafia secret?! Why was he sweating and worried sick?!

He spoke staring into her eyes,” I know I shouldn’t say this but I am sorry. I just want to tell you as the regret of not telling you will kill me.”

She joked,” Do you have aids?!” She laughed at her own joke but he didn’t laugh at all. He looked pretty serious with his jaw clenched hard.

She apologized,” OK I am sorry. But you are so weird today. Please tell me fast. I will have a upset stomach if you don’t tell me now.”

He rubbed his palms together and sincerely spoke,” Radhika I don’t know when this happened and why. But I was just blown away by your very first sight. I tried explaining my heart that how wrong it is to love some other man’s wife. But it just had turned hell stubborn. I know its not right to confess my feelings for you even after knowing that you are still married to him. I just love you and I don’t know how to make my heart understand that you can never be mine.”

She had tears in her eyes listening to his heart felt confession. He was dealing with the same unbearable unending heart breaking pain like her. Yet masking it behind a fake forced smile unlike her.

She couldn’t meet his eyes anymore as they were filled with pain which reminded her of her own pain. She took a step towards him and wrapped her arms around his torso and gave him a hug which he needed the most at that moment.

He froze and stood still as if paralyzed as he couldn’t believe she hugged him on her own for the very first time. He didn’t know what to do. He slowly placed his hands on her waist and hugged her back.

She rested her head on his chest and spoke,”You know I felt so alone and lonely when the man I loved insulted my feelings for him. I felt like giving up my life that day. But then realized my own mistake and learnt a lesson that life can’t be saturated in that one word Love. My life was mine and it was up to me that whether I wanted it to get better or even get worst. There are many other things in life which are far more important than love. One is friendship and I am glad that I have a friend like you.”

She pulled back after few minutes. He held her close to his heart and then let go. She didn’t went berserk when he confessed his love for her instead she gave him a direction in which he should lead his life. She gave him a wonderful message without breaking his heart. Love is something which makes life beautiful but without it Life is not that bad either. Love is not everything in life but Friendship means a lot more than Love.

Just then he was turned harshly and punched hard on his face. He stumbled but recovered from the fall. He lifted his eyes to meet the gaze of his attacker.

Radhika felt chilled to the bone as her gaze fell on the murderous Arjun. He had his jaw clenched hard and hands curled in fist. She felt a shiver run down her spine when her eyes met his fierce angry piercing gaze.

Arjun was going to confront on the dance floor itself and throw her over his shoulder if needed. He didn’t mind if world thought he had just dropped from the caveman era. But his father’s old friend greeted him at the wrong time. The elderly man thought so highly of Arjun that he didn’t mind appreciating him without holding back. But Indeed his timing was terribly wrong as Arjun was a man on mission. If it had been someone of Arjun’s age, He would have sidestepped him gladly but Arjun couldn’t do that with a man of his father’s age. His father would be displeased and disappointed if his son didn’t know how to give respect to elders. He didn’t wanted that to happen as his father’s opinion about him mattered to him. Since past half an hour the elderly man went on and on and Arjun was holding onto the last streaks of his patience.

When finally the old man bid him farewell and Arjun didn’t even respond to that. He searched the whole party venue for Radhika but she was nowhere to be found. He asked the guards outside and showed them her picture in his phone and they pointed towards the lawn.

When he reached there, he was on fire as he saw his Radhika in Sameer’s arms. He couldn’t believe what he just saw. He clenched his jaw tight,as his eyes seemed to be glued to her with a furious dead storming rage in them accusing her of betrayal. But his heart’s small voice stating that his Radhika could never think of cheating on him echoed in his ears. He believed that to be the truth with no shadow of doubt in his mind but Sameer should be taught a lesson for touching what’s his. No one takes what belongs to Arjun and if someone dreams about it then he deserves a beating of his life.
