Aashay Mishra replaces Manan Joshi for the male lead in ‘Shubh Laabh’

The newly launched show, Shubh Laabh Aapkey Ghar Mein, is all set to witness a change in the cast in just two weeks of being aired. The makers have replaced Manan Joshi, who essayed the role of Geetanjali Tikekar’s son Vaibhav in the show, with Aashay Mishra.

According to a source associated with the show, “Manan had taken up a film along with the show. We had earlier thought that he would be able to work out his dates. However, it didn’t seem possible. He would be shooting in London and would be away for almost a month. It wasn’t feasible to shoot the show without the hero for so long.”

Manan, who is known for his grey character in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, talked about it in an interview with BT and shared, “Actually, I had committed to another project (an International Canadian film), along with the show and the dates clashed. So, I had no choice but to opt-out of Shubh Laabh. I had a great time on the set shooting with my co-actors. It is obviously never a good feeling to end an association. This has been an association of almost two months, which includes workshops and reading sessions. I had grown close to the cast and the unit and have made some good memories. So, the unit and the memories will be missed.”

Aashay says, “I had my apprehensions about bonding with my co-actors. I thought ki groups bann gaye honge aur dost bann gaye honge and it would be difficult to break the ice. But the unit has been so warm and welcoming that I was taken by a pleasant surprise. I have no idea why the artiste before me has been replaced. All I can say is that I am happy about playing Vaibhav on the show. Since the show isn’t that old, I will get my space and an opportunity to play the character my way and add a new flavour to it.”

Aashay has a good experience with theatre and is known for his role in Pyaar Ka Padad and Story 9 Months Ki.
