Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha fame Richa Rathore roped in to essay a pivotal role in Rabb Se Hai Dua

Actress Richa Rathore who rose to fame with her role as Nandini in Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha has now joined the cast of Prateek Sharma’s Rabb Se Hai Dua. The show also features Aditi Sharma and Karanvir Sharma.

The actress talked about it during a recent interview with BT and shared, “An actor’s job is quite tough, as he gets caught up in the usual grind of giving auditions and mock shots after a show ends. I was busy doing the same. There were some projects I was finalized for or I wanted to be a part of, but they didn’t materialize. It’s been a tough time. However, I utilized this period to explore a new avenue – TVCs. I shot for some commercials in the meantime.”

When asked how she dealt with the waiting period, she replied, “As an actor, I know it’s a process and one has to wait. Sometimes, it takes more than a year for a new show to materialize. On some days, you feel disappointed, while on the rest, you are hopeful. So, one keeps swinging between hopefulness and disappointment. Everything aligns when the time is right and the project is good for you, as it has in my case with Rabb Se Hai Dua. It’s all about moving on, being in the process, doing your job, and giving your best.”

Talking about Rab Se Hai Dua, Richa said, “I have said this on several occasions after my last daily soap ended that I wanted to take up a show set against a Muslim backdrop. So, I was quite excited after I got to know that my wish has been fulfilled. My character, too, is quite interesting. I play Ghazal, who is full of life, has a modern outlook towards it, and is bindaas. I like the attitude of khul kar life ko jiyo — at least as a character (smiles). The show addresses some pertinent questions and revolves around two nikaah. The storyline is amazing and so is my character.”
